Charming, touching, WOW!
This little book is a DELIGHT. I’m not sure how to describe it, but I’ll try. It’s part poetic prose, part nature fiction, part avian love story (or mating story, anyway).
Spalding’s writing is gorgeous, and Moran’s narration brings it to life. There’s humor, adventure, and beauty.
Listen to it. You’ll be glad you did.

Charming book. Beautiful narration.
Just when I thought I could squarely identify a genre for this book, it would bend a little in a beautiful way and become something else, somehow even more delightful. The story has a lovely lyricism to it, while imparting a lot of engaging information about the secret lives of birds. Jess Moran's lilting delivery makes a good book a great one.
