I enjoyed this so much. What a high quality and interesting story. I am glad to listen to a story that is of a higher quality. Some of these types of books are so shallow and one dimensional. This one isn’t.

Excellent story

I had a hard time getting into this book because of the narrator. I would listen and then put it down. After a while I was able to keep listening. Normally, I finish a book quickly but not this one. I must say, once I got past all that it is a good book. The subject matter was very interesting, and I loved the character of Fiona. She was a strong woman at such a young age and I can appreciate that.

A little bit of a messed up story. Why didn’t anyone tell her earlier Angus wasn’t married? I wish there was more about him looking for her and finding her. Less of the middle, more of the end

Was a strong and resourceful young lady. The twists and turns kept you on your feet. Narration was good. I always like the history lesson if available at the end.

I have read this book so many times. But listening to this book with such a great narrator made a big difference!
I fell in love with Fiona and Black Angus. This is such a whirlwind story! So much heartache and also love. Tragedy and grief and love reunited.
I loved Nan her husband and their children. The ending was so beautiful and unexpected! Any book by Bertrice Small is a definite must read.
