About this listen

Three young men meet in university and form a lifelong friendship. Their pasts dictate the men they are, but their present shapes their future. What happens when these men meet the one person they are destined to be with? Can they fight their feelings and walk away? Or will they each succumb and learn the sweet agony of love?

Bentley is the leader of the group. He is uptight, formal, and cold. He's rgid and set in his ways, always following the same path. Until the day he stumbles upon her. Emmy brings with her spontaneity and light. The world she lives in is so different from his, yet he cannot control the draw to her. Nor can he explain the way she makes him feel. Happy. Protective. Loved. Contains mature themes.

FANTASTIC!! A Must Read!!

Melanie Moreland writes an Alpha Male just the way I like them. Bentley is controlling and head strong. He’s all business and comes across as rigid.
But he’s also a gentleman and has a heart full of love.

Emmy is light and carefree. She has a laid back, go with the flow personality, and shines with life.

A chance encounter brings two complete opposites together but they soon find out they’re only different when it comes to their social status. Bentley lives a life of wealth and high class whereas Emmy is counting pennies to make ends meet.

From the outside looking in, they’re all wrong for one another but when they’re together, Emmy brings out the charming, passionate side of Bentley, and he discovers that underneath all those smiles and jokes, Emmy is a girl who is hurting and just wants to be truly loved.

These characters were absolutely beautiful. Their chemistry was intense but they approached their attraction to one another with a slow-burn, one step at a time allowing their bond to strengthen into something powerful and one of a kind.

This story was a page-turner. It’s sweet and sassy, yet there is an underlying suspense that keeps you guessing.

I listened to this on Audiobook and highly enjoyed every minute of it!!!

John Lane was the PERFECT narrator for Bentley. His voice is strong and solid and ridiculously enjoyable.

Maxine Mitchell was the narrator for Emmy and gave a beautiful performance. She’s passionate and emotional. You can feel her connection with Emmy and the story.

These narrators together was the perfect treat. They complimented each other and were on point from beginning to end. Two of my favorite narrators!!!

I devoured this book.
This is going to be a FANTASTIC series.

Highly Recommend.

A Nice Stress Free Listen

I listened to the audio book. I liked how formal Bentley sounded. It helped to enhance the description of how formal he was in his dress, mannerisms, and overall character.

There were some witty moments in the book. I liked Emmy's nickname for Bentley. This was an easy listen. I almost immediately knew who the bad guy was in this situation. I was surprised Aiden, Maddox, or Emmy hadn't figured it out. I was surprised Bentley wasn't more suspicious.

After hearing about Emmy's past, I really expected something from her past to crop up when least expected, but it didn't.

There was no "hold your breath" suspense. No huge mystery to solve. Just a kind of easy going romance with likable characters who seem to have paired up in the first book. A nice stress free listen. I would give this book 3.5 stars.

Bentley

The story is great! There's love, mystery, kidnapping and death (not necessarily in that order), and ofcourse the ever necessary HEA. There is nearly everything a person needs in a book, The problem comes with the voice Narrators. The male voice narrator does a great job, only seeming to forget which character he was presenting but it came and went fast, most people may not even notice it. The female voice actor, though, is one I try to avoid. She is awful, has a weird way of sounding snooty and whiney at the same time. No matter what book she is in she sounds exactly the same during character narration but usually much better during conversations. Unfortunately, there is way more narration than conversation for her in this book. Fortunately for us, there are very few chapters from the female POV. This book is refreshing in that it is mainly told from the male POV. It's great, you'll love it! It will even tug at your heart.

Suspense & Romance

I’ve wanted to start this series for a while and finally took the leap. I really enjoyed Bentley. He seems a little stuck up or pretentious but underneath it all he’s passionate and loyal. This has a little of everything from the awesome characters to the suspenseful all the way to the romance it was a great book.

John Land and Maxine Mitchell were great. John’s voice felt stiff at times but it was perfect for Bentley’s character. Maxine brought emotion to Emmy’s character.

Emmy and Bentley were kindred souls. They were perfect for each other and brought the good out of the other. I loved the entire BAM crew and can’t wait to learn more about them.

I love BAM so much.

I have listened to All of the men's stories and they are All so good!! I think Adien may be the spiciest, but all are spicy, heartfelt, romantic... All of the men fall hard. Just as you would hope

The descriptions of the main female character

The ending was very predictable. That kind of left me cold. I don’t know if I go after this author again, however, the narration was very good
