About this listen
Beholding The Lady is the tenth Standalone Clean Regency Romance in The Lady Series.
Anna Gillingham has only been to a handful of balls, but when she slips into an empty room to escape an impossible suitor, she knows enough to realize one shouldn’t be stealing paintings from the library. To her surprise, the man she startles with a rolled-up canvas under his arm is none other than Duke Albion Weatherwax. He claims he has a good reason for the deed. The picture in question had been a gift, which is something of an embarrassment now to a lady who wishes to have the painting back. A quick glance at the canvas shows the face of a well-known lady of the ton, draped in Grecian style in very little. Anna somehow becomes embroiled in the theft….

Story
Growing up, Andrew Gillingham paid little attention to Amanda Abbott. Thinking of her only as the neighbor’s bothersome younger daughter, his interactions with her mostly involved rebuking her girlish adoration. Years later, when they are reintroduced to polite society, Andrew is taken aback. Amanda, fresh out of finishing school, is no longer the shy, lanky slip of a girl he remembered. What’s more, she seems entirely unaware of how lovely she has become–or that Laurence du Campion has set his sights upon her.

Coming to the rescue.
Another short and sweet novella. Lord Albion and Anna meet under a strange circumstance. She comes to his rescue. Then he wants to return the favor. They do not seem compatible at all. But, yes, they find their HEA.
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this audiobook from the author through Story Origin. Zane Boyer, again performs these characters brilliantly. 5 stars for him.

Anna
Book 4 of the series. It does well as part of the series, or as a stand alone book. Anna is at a ball, and sneaks off to evade a suitor. She bumps into a Duke, who appears to be stealing a painting. She gets involved in the scheme, and a relationship develops. The characters are interesting and relatable. The narration was well done. I received a free copy of this audiobook, and am voluntarily leaving my review.
