Loved this book and I loved the narrator. Book 4 of this series has a new narrator but I missed the narrator who was in these first three as it made it seem like a whole different book series instead of continuation of the original series. I bought and listened to the whole series to see how it ended though. I love reading all the prepper information before it all becomes violent and chaos (my least favorite part). I could listen to pre-apocalypse preparing stories all day long. I liked how they included their best friends and the neighbor to make a solid prepared plan together. I’d like to read more books with the emphasis on that part of the PA stories. Loved loved loved this narrator!

Great beginning prequel for the series

When I enjoy a series as I have enjoyed this series, I like to know more about the characters, their personalities, their background, experiences, and why they made the decisions they did to become the person they are. This book explains the main characters' progression into becoming a "prepper" and why the family had the mediocre preps they had when 5hit hit the fan. Because the audio is so short I think it is a little expensive, but I liked the series and am glad I purchased the book.

Therr wasn't enough material for a book. Very very short. the ending was very abrupt. I was expecting more of a story.

The story line seemed to be an exaggerated spoof, on a stereo typical southern working class couples paranoia induced “Prepping”. Why the ridiculous fake southern coastal accent from the 19th century? If I tried to convince anyone in a serious nature to listen to this story for an introduction to being prepared for a extended emergency scenario, most would think it to be a skit off of “Saturday Night Live” making fun of those of us that take this serious.

I found this to be light hearted for a serious subject. I was chuckling at the familiar interaction between the main characters

This is a very good, well-written series, but this short background piece should be incorporated into book 1 or book 3. It seems too short to offer as stand-alone content.

This is the prequel to Book 1 by Mrs. Glaspy. This book contains very useful
information about smart budgeting tips and meal planning so that money
can be freed up to purchase supplies. Purchasing was done weekly, and
monthly, and over time they assembled what they would need.

Also they acquired knowledge via the internet and an old couple.

The main couple enlisted their best friends to join them and then they
got an older couple with a farm to join them. The older couple taught them
a lot about living off the grid - how to butcher animals, planting, preserving
food, etc.

Very encouraging book making preparing seem doable not daunting.
Just start and do a little at a time. Make some minor lifestyle changes.

Keep your preps confidential. Loads of practical tips. It does not matter
if you know some of this stuff, reminders are useful!

Nice relationship between husband and wife. Loving.
Not sure when I first read this, maybe 2018.

I love the narrator! She brings the story to life. very animated, reminds me of me. Can't wait for the series to come.
