About this listen

As a Mech Warrior of the Draconis Combine, Minobu Tetsuhara was bound by Bushido, a code that demands loyal service to the devious Warlord Grieg Samsonov. But when Minobu came upon a strange blue and gold Archer, Bushido also dictated that he not destroy the honorable but helpless warrior. And so he rescued Jaime Wolf. Minobu was then assigned as liaison to the Wolf's Dragons, one of the Combine's most elite mercenary units. But when the mercenaries refused to renew their contract with Samsonov, Minobu was instructed to destroy them. Now Bushido dictates that Minobu oppose his honorable foe, a man with whom he has served and who deserves far batter than betrayal.Don't miss the rest of Battletech. I have listened to all of the BT audio books and this one was not abridged well. Fortunately I had read the paper back years ago, so I remembered most the story, but the sections that were cut out left me confused. I had to rewind a couple times to figure out what was going on. It's a good book and still worth listening too though.

Abridged :(

Like alI Battletech audio books this one is good story to listen to, but can also get confusing at times; since the abridge version of the novel skips out on some subplots and secondary character's development.

Over all I have enjoyed listen to this and other Battletech audio books repeatedly. Their great narration added with cool sound effects combined with compelling stories set in the 31st century are an usual goto when I want something to listen during long drives.

Above average good b+

Some obvious errors, such as "cornstar" and an "8-ton Victor." Overall the narration is good, sound effects are a nice touch, the story is excellent. But I think some of the details, scenes, and characters (such as Natasha Kerensky) that are present in the printed version are absent here.

Classic Battletech novel, not-so-classic audio

Voice acting!music and sound were great I only wish there were unabridged battletech novelization on audible.

Great novel only wish it was unabridged

Catalyst needs to stop with abridged versions of their books. They're so much better complete. The sounds effects could be toned down a bit.

Needs the unabridged version
