Story
It’s odd the way some things work out. You expect to wake up dead, and instead, you wake up to the beautiful face of your wife. I was understandably confused. I had died…or at least I sure as heck thought I had. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not complaining. I’ve been alive for a number of years now, and to be honest…I’m quite fond of it. I just didn’t understand "how" I was alive. My name is Fleet Admiral Jeremy Riker…but my friends call me Dog. This is my story.

Story
2067 was the year I died for the first time. It was painful. Had I known how often I'd be expected to die over the next several millennia, I might have made a stronger effort to stay dead. The year actually started off rather nice. I finished my PhD in high energy physics and was promoted to lieutenant commander in the United States Air Force. My first posting after the promotion was to the Lunar One Air Base where I worked with my father, Dr. Robert Kimbridge, on "The Project".

I enjoyed the listen, but I have to say that the 3 book story arc ended nowhere near where I expected. I enjoyed the humor, action, and the performance, but the plot development just got away from me.

Well that got old fast
This is the 3rd of a Military Sci-Fi trilogy that started off very good and then failed to grow. If you get this far, it is worth finishing, but don’t expect it to be as good. The snark that was so much fun in the first installment descended into an avalanche of pop culture references (Star Trek, Dune, Aliens, et al) and testosterone laden witticisms that eventually irritated more than entertained. In fact, the entire Hollingsworth arc was just plain stupid and actually highlights a lot of the crude innuendo that was actually pretty cringe worthy.
The basic story was less military and more an attempt humorous alien first contact that didn’t work at all for me. Add to that a main character that is eventually revealed as a mary sue that has a hand full of doctoral degrees along with significant space fighter experience and decades of large space ship experience that allows her to pretty much dominate an alien scourge that was previously unstoppable in a a fairly predictable (and somewhat sudden and unsatisfactory) conclusion. In fact, the whole galaxy hates me trope was way over done here and only served to allow the MC to strut her stuff.

Entertaining Adventure
Battleship is the third and final book in the adventurous Exodus Earth series. I enjoyed the overarching story as well as the interesting, relatable characters, their clever repartee and humor. This is a fun, fast-paced space adventure with a sensible plot with plenty of action and intrigue. Ending was meh
Once again, I liked this next part in the story. Don't know if there's more in this series/universe, but if so, I'd sure like to read them. This is the type of story I really like to read, and I enjoyed it. Most scifi fans should enjoy this series.
The problem with the ending of this one is there's next to no closure of the plotlines raised during the series, so that's why I would expect more in the series. Other than that, the story is a good one, and I liked it.

Good story, abrupt ending?
This has been a good series. I have enjoyed the distraction and am ready for more.
However, the end of this story should be the end of the Trilogy but the ending was abrupt to the point of being incomplete. Then suddenly we have a short epilogue that takes place a year later and we are all done. A complete story but feels incomplete. Still recommended. A good listen.

Not bad
The book wasn't bad. It drug on at points. And I still think if they casted a female narrator as the lead, it would have been a better listening experience. keep the original narrator as every other character.
