Relatable in so many ways

Listening to Millie’s story came at a time when I needed to hear it most. Her history resonated with me, from her school experience, to young party girl in London to now being a married mum with a young a child, all the while my relationship with alcohol being the one thing in my life that continually tripped me up. I embarrass myself at weddings, birthdays and drink till I black out and cannot walk. My husband fuming. Her book made me feel not so alone, and that I can do this. I want to do this! but feeling so scared that people won’t like me sober, or I wouldn’t be able to cope going to these events without a drink… now I feel like I’m beginning to understand why I drink like I do, and slowly getting the skills to continue my life alcohol free… I’ve only just begun, and I’m hopeful…. So thank you Millie for sharing your story.
