About this listen

Asa

I never forgot her...Noni, the woman just as unique as her name who never failed to light a fire inside me. The last time I saw her I was in a bad place, a dark one that actually sent me to the Big Apple today. I was in the city to lead another one of my late father's corporate divisions yes, but running, escape, had been my true plan of intent. I had lots to get away from, my sins a laundry list, and it had been she, Noni, who got me out of them the last time. She did more than just fill a void. She fixed my messed up soul no matter how brief a time.

So why had I let her go?

Noni

I came upon him in a similar state before...desired by women. They flocked to the man like groupies to a tour bus and however naively, I had been one of them over four years ago. A vulnerable place sent me to vacation in Aspen and it had been Asa who found me, made me moan, made me forget and I didn't come away from that vacation unchanged. He gave me the most wonderful little blessing I could ever receive, my son Jalen.

Contains mature themes.

Storyline

Overall it was good but issue was the narrators mainly the female one. There was nothing there no emotions more robotic.

Now, Noni I will not lie pissed me off through the entire story. She was so self centered she saw nothing but herself not her wrong doings but everyone else’s. You would not forgive your sister but was ready to get back with your ex whom also cheated. Was mad with Asa but you are the one whom lied about his child. I just didn’t get her!!!!

Asa was messed up but was willing to work on himself he had every right to be upset with Noni but still called her when he crashed his car. But, Noni still found a way to focus on her self.

I listened to complete the book but I was so frustrated with the storyline mainly Noni!!!

Plot

We need a book on Willa & Keenan & Stefan. Part three My Muse Now & Forever would be a great title. I’ll be waiting to read it. ☺️😊😉

Female Narrator

The only reason I forced myself to finish this book was because of Troy other than that I would have stopped and read it. The female narrator voice made me uninterested due to her dull voice, the story was ok I personally don’t like when people don’t talk things out like adults and keep things to themselves however the book was decent enough.

Second chance done right

I love the second chance story without a ton of the unnecessary drama but rather something’s just not going the way you would hope and life getting in the way. The two main leads are able to realistically come to the healthy relationship which is a nice change! The epilogue has me impatient for Willa Jean’s story!

Good Read

I liked the story. it didn't blow me away. deff had great parts but I like raunchy and this was a little vanilla. but it was super adorable. I want to find out if Willa will finally get her man. Like maybe a Rock Star.

Could have been a little longer…

But really enjoyed this story. I would have liked more of the backstory to have been told as part of the plot at the beginning of the book, not in flashbacks. Troy Duran’s voice—wow! The man deserves his props. He could read the political editorials and make them sound sexy. Thank you Mr. Duran. Thank you Ms. Smith for writing beautiful stories.

The women narrator voice was a drag it didn't fit the story at all

I hated every time that it was the women narrator turn to read. Her voice was so boring

Awesome!

What an awesome book! I’m curious about the other stories like Willa’s and the twin brother Andrew. Glad I took a chance on this one.

Good Read

This was a good read. I am so looking forward to Willow’s story. I loved the male narrator, the female was a little boring.
