Carolina Panthers general manager and president of football operations, Dan Morgan, spoke to the media on Tuesday afternoon at the NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis. Morgan answered questions about the team's roster-building focus this offseason as free agency approaches. Are the Panthers fully committed to rebuilding the defense, or will they take a balanced approach to team building?

Morgan also provided updates on the status of several returning players and those heading to free agency. He made it clear that negotiations are still ongoing with Pro Bowl cornerback Jaycee Horn regarding an extension, while kicker Eddy Pineiro is allowed to explore the free agency market.

The Panthers are facing a number of injuries this offseason, as second-year players Xavier Legette, Trevin Wallace, and Jonathon Brooks will be rehabbing over the coming months.
