More about today’s guest: Since 2022, Anna Paola Barberi has been the Marketing and Communications Director at ColleMassari Wine Estates, overseeing the strategy and international growth of its four brands: Grattamacco, Poggio di Sotto, San Giorgio, and ColleMassari. She manages both domestic and international marketing, brand identity, digital strategies, and customer experience, and led the partnership with Alinghi Red Bull Racing for the America’s Cup. A Bocconi University graduate in economics, Anna has extensive experience in marketing for consumer goods and luxury brands, with roles at Sammontana, Bolton Group, and Carapelli. Over the last decade, she’s focused on the wine industry, holding senior positions at Marchesi Frescobaldi and obtaining the AIS Sommelier diploma and WSET Level 2 certification. In 2024, she was included in Forbes Italia’s list of the 100 Marketing and Communications Directors. Marc and his photographer wife Kim are the authors of 14 books including a pioneering series of illustrated wine-food-travel books: The Wine Roads of Europe, The Wine Roads of France, The Wine Roads of Italy (Premio Barbi Colombini), and The Wine Roads of Spain. Other titles include The Wine and Food of Europe, The Food Lovers’ Companion Italy, The Food Lovers’ Companion France, Wine, a global history. Marc regularly lectures and hosts gastronomic cultural tours to Italy and France with Martin Randall Travel, the UK’s leading cultural travel specialist.
