Publisher's summary

In a twist of fate that rocks the Galactic Empire, James McGill finds himself negotiating the future of a thousand inhabited worlds.

An artificial object made of compressed stardust is barreling toward Earth. Is it an invasion ship? A doomsday weapon? Perhaps it’s the final response of Squanto, the Warlord of Rigel who McGill has repeatedly humiliated. Or could it be from the Mogwa, sent to avenge McGill’s assassination of Earth’s Imperial Governor?

No one knows the truth of its origins, but the object is huge and unstoppable. Whoever hurled this rock at us isn’t answering our calls. Every weapon bounces off, and the people of Earth begin to go mad as they realize their destruction is only hours away.

Armor World is the 11th book of the Undying Mercenaries series. With over three million copies sold, author B. V. Larson is the king of modern military science fiction.

Hilarious and Clever

James McGill is one of my favourite characters amongst the hundreds of sci-fi books I listen too each year. No amazing powers, just a bloke with a workable/flexible set of values and a habit for getting himself mixed up in galactic level politics. I love this series for what it is and what it doesn’t try to be. Give me more if the McGill creature.

Another Entertaining Undiers Series Addition

This book starts with a near Earth extinction event and a gruesome one at that and then the gang all ships off in hopes of stopping it from occurring again. There they find what appears to have been and extinction event with another sentient species and what seems to be an insurmountable battle with another, yet to be seen, galactic imperial faction. There are plenty of twists, bloody battles, philandering and intrigue along the way. And, of course, McGill uses his ever-elastic slip-sliding maneuvers and word-weaving ways to keep the whole story telling amusing along the way.

One of the best in the best audible sci-fi series

I never get tired of ol' James McGill and the entire cast. Thanks for not offing them. We get attached. The whole undying mercenaries concept is so brilliant. You get the action and drama of combat and death without having to lose well developed characters or create new ones. Brilliant. This was one of the best in the series and really takes us fans into a new and imaginative direction. On to the Core. Thanks BV.
Excellent performance as always by Mark. Great job with all the voices. I don't know how you do it but after listening to all these books you know the person who speaking. It's really amazing with audible how entertaining is. Like old radio shows I guess. But you exceptionally bring James and these fantastic stories to life for us. Your delivery and southern accent for James really captures the action as well as the smartly written humor. Makes me laugh all the time. You also make me wish I could meet Galina. That's a little weird so I don't dwell on it. AND the stories are so fast-paced and the performance so entertaining that I can't stop listening once I start a new book, So keep them coming. Please.

Still good, if not better.

It’s like settling into a comfortable jacket. Familiar characters developing but still the same. Great comedy as well. Another enjoyable escape from serious work.
