Publisher's summary

The pall that had descended over the North is gone, and a new day has dawned on a victorious Mithral Hall, but no matter how bright things seem on the surface, Drizzt and his companions know that what lurks just under their feet remains steeped in evil and charged with unimaginable power. The dark elves of Menzoberranzan, including the powerful Archmage Gromph, aren't done with Drizzt yet. And consumed by their own power struggles, feeling backed into a corner, the drow may just be desperate enough to call on demonic forces from the deepest reaches of the Abyss and unleash a disaster even the Underdark could never have prepared for. Archmage has everything Drizzt's fans crave: action, adventure, characters that resonate with equal measures of warrior spirit and deep compassion, and no shortage of wicked dark elves!

spend your credit here. a epic movie for your ears

spend your credit here if you have already completed the companion codex books. so many questions are answered about so many characters from prior books. this book has epic multiple climaxes so it keeps you wanting to know what happens next. if you are looking for a story with: Hero's, Elves, wizards,Dwarves,Orcs,Demons, different kinds of dragons, unicorns, Big cats, spectral mounts like hell stead or hellfire horses, goblins,Demi Demons,Spiders of all sorts, warewolves, yetis ,exotic weapons that litterely take on their own persona and about 20 other creatures, I would not know how to spell the name of their species. but they are all in this high fantasy salad with magic, magic and more magic.

Excellent

Yet again Salvatore gives us exactly what every fan of fantasy wants. Little romance, little political intrigue, lots of fighting and that always present cliffhanger for the next book. Nothing pleases me more than to see Drizzt have to return and face his evil race. If you are just starting on your adventures with Drizzt you could do worse than pledge yourself to Salvatore's 30+books and counting.

The Legend Continues

If you could sum up Archmage in three words, what would they be?

Another Fantastic Chapter

What did you like best about this story?

Everything

Which scene was your favorite?

There isnt a bad one

Any additional comments?

Listen, R.A. Salvatore hasn't written a bad book and this ones great. Victor Bevine reads it like he was actually there and saw it go down. I wish somebody (with talent) would look at this series for a movie. Maybe NetFlix could use this to get into SciFi Adventure

Awesome

So great I almost want to start all over and read from the beginning. Narrative was well done and I am a great fan of being able to listen while I drive.

First audiobook ever.

This was another great Drizzt story by Salvatore. I've been reading the works for about 13 years now and the stories and characters never cease to amaze. This was however my first audiobook and I didn't care for the narrator, Victor. While getting the job done I felt his voices and almost complete lack of emotion for various dialogue was quite disappointing. I'm more than a little disappointed he voices the complete works. Maybe he'll grow on me in time though.
