About this listen

WELCOME TO THE NEW RIVERDALE!

ARCHIE, one of the longest-running titles in comic book history, is rebooted here in this collection that brings together two of the most talented creators in comics, Mark Waid and Fiona Staples. Together they create a surprising and definitive take on Archie's origin—a story that has never been told.

Meet America's favorite teenager Archie Andrews, his oddball, food-loving best friend Jughead, girl-next-door Betty and well-to-do snob Veronica Lodge as they embark on a modern reimagining of the beloved Archie world. It's all here: the love triangle, friendship, humor, charm, and lots of fun—but with a decidedly modern twist!

If classic Archie is a Saturday morning cartoon, this new series is prime time!

Adapted from Archie issues and produced with a full cast of actors, immersive sound effects and cinematic music. This bundle includes volumes 1-6.

Lots of fun and lots of heart. Highly recommended!

I listen to a lot of audiobooks and I read a lot of Archie Comics. Let me tell you, this was the best non-comic Archie thing I’ve ever come across. I was riveted from the beginning through the end. The characters were spot on. The writing was perfect. The acting was fantastic.

I loved Betty’s storyline. I know it’s a cliche, but I did both laugh and cry. You want to know who really surprised me? Moose Mason. He wasn’t just the dumb jock from comics past, he was kind and friendly and especially loyal to his friends. His scenes with Midge were sheer perfection.

A Slow Start That Picks Up And Doesn’t Go Back

I bought these individual volumes when they were originally released and I almost didn’t continue after the first one but I’m happy I did. Veronica starts off so unlikable that it almost killed the story for me but her character growth really starts to shine in part 3. Archie is so clumsy and lovable that it’s impossible not to love every part he’s in. Jughead is an awesome character in this version because even though he acts like he doesn’t care about much, he cares about his friends and he’s usually the one fixing their mistakes.
If you’re an Archie fan you have to grab this series. The full cast is a blast to listen to. It’s almost like listening to a classic radio show.
