Acerca de esta escucha

Any Sign of Life is a heartbreaking story filled with courage, friendship, and personality. Paige Miller is the perfect team-up buddy in an apocalypse. I was with her when she lost everything, and stood right next to her when she took it all back.”—Wesley Chu, #1 New York Times bestselling author of the War Arts Saga

“A timely update to classic postapocalyptic YA.”Publishers Weekly (starred review)

“A smart, suspenseful thriller. . . . Totally un-put-down-able.”—Kirkus Reviews

When a teenage girl thinks she may be the only person left alive in her town—maybe in the whole world—she must rely on hope, trust, and her own resilience. A harrowing and pulse-pounding survival story from New York Times bestselling author Rae Carson. Any Sign of Life is a must-have for readers of Rick Yancey’s The 5th Wave and Neal Shusterman and Jarrod Shusterman’s Dry.

Paige Miller is determined to take her basketball team to the state championship, maybe even beyond. But as March Madness heats up, Paige falls deathly ill. Days later, she wakes up attached to an IV and learns that the whole world has perished. Everyone she loves, and all of her dreams for the future—they’re gone.

But Paige is a warrior. She pushes through her fear and her grief and gets through each day scrounging for food, for shelter, for safety. As she struggles with her new reality, Paige learns that the apocalypse did not happen by accident. And that there are worse things than being alone.

New York Times bestselling author Rae Carson tells a contemporary and all-too-realistic story about surviving against the odds in this near-future thriller. Any Sign of Life will electrify fans of Rory Power’s Wilder Girls and Emily St. John Mandel’s Station Eleven.

This book was way better than I expected it to be. It held my attention, the whole way through! I did not expect to like it nearly as much as I did would highly recommend if you like post apocalyptic books.

This book was so good

Fun plot, fun listen. Looking forward to a second book. I really liked the main character

Fun post apocalyptic

Awakening to a world without people, Paige, a high school basketball star, finds that she has barely survived a super-flu. In time, she finds other survivors, and someone who can explain what really happened. Soon after, she and her compatriots must decide on what to make of the remainder of their lives in a world that cannot be revived.

Other than leaning towards the YA genre, my only complaint is that the narrator did not find distinguishing voices for each of the male characters.

From loss & desolation - purpose

I love Rae Carson’s stories. Each of her trilogies have a good bit of fantasy / sci-fi to them but also expose humanity for all the good and bad it holds. This story is no different. The characters are well developed and the story is interesting. But it doesn’t wear on you or take too long to happen.

Please tell me there is a sequel!!!

It was over to soon. I could have listened to their journey for hours, can’t wait for a sequel.

Loved the characters

This book was absolutely amazing. I love Page. I love how in the beginning she wakes up and doesn’t know anything, but still manages to problem solve while learning about what happened. I also love how Page faces actual problems. She gets her period in the middle of an apocalypse what is she supposed to do? She has to figure this out. I feel like a lot of ya Apocalypse books don’t talk about stuff like this.
Also whenever she gets hurt she is actually hurt. Unlike in some books she doesn’t just get a sprained ankle, and then whenever it’s convenient she can suddenly run away from danger. This book was really well written and well narrated. I am so glad I got this book. Also this book is pretty clean.

I think this is my new favorite apocalypse book

the narrator could use some work - especially with the end of sentences. but don't let that prevent you from immersing yourself in this story. I join my voice with those who want this to be a series.

awesome story
