Publisher's summary

Oliver likes writing, reading, and the feel of satin and lace against his body. He also talks way too much when he’s nervous, knows more trivia facts than any man should, and is about as good at dating as he is at skiing - which is to say, completely and totally inept.

David’s never been with a man before, despite recognizing that some men make his pulse race and his body heat. But no one has ever made him as hot as his newest ski student - adorable, athletically challenged Oliver.

David’s never been into casual hookups, though, and Oliver’s in Wyoming for only a week - barely long enough to teach the man to ski, let alone convince a risk-averse guy like Oliver to give their relationship a shot.

Changing their entire lives based on one amazing week might be a recipe for disaster. But the greatest disaster of all might be playing it safe.

I’m glad there are more books following this one.

Go Grandma Go. I love how much she pushed ( with love) Oliver to try things out of his comfort zone. Have to love a story that makes you feel all warm and squishy. Hope grandmother has another of her family in her crosshairs for the next book!

LOVE IT!!!!

I absolutely love this story! Oliver is just too cute, he's shy and awkward but once he gets into bed with David, WOW!! David and Oliver are just perfect together and I love how David totally gets Oliver and helps him come out of his shell. I can't wait to listen to the rest of this series. The narrator is absolutely spectacular with all of the voices! I voluntarily reviewed a gifted copy of this audiobook.

The story is too cute for words

What a surprise this book was! I was afraid of reading it, but when I had a chance to the audiobook, I was like "why not", and started it. And how cool it was!

I love Silvia's book, but don't know why I was afraid of this series, but after this I really like to read all of the other books too!

The story and the characters were cute and I loved everything about it. The narrator was good too, I liked the voices of the MCs.

Oliver was really cute and I liked him. And the lace panties aww! Too adorable for words.
David *sigh* HOT! I loved their relationship so much, they were cute together and the hotness between them, aww, so good!

Really liked this book and can't wait to read/listen to the other books too! Recommend it if you want a cute read!

Michael Pauley does his magic for Oliver and David

Ooooh, this is definitely one of my top favorite stories from Silvia (and seriously, like, I love everything she writes!). This was an excellent contemporary opposites-attract romance, with some SERIOUS steam between our two MCs!

Oliver is an anti-social nerd, who has had to deal with a lifetime of bullying from family members and emotionally manipulative ex-boyfriends, and because of this, has really had to learn to rely on himself. He reluctantly travels to a ski-resort in the snowy mountains for a family reunion at the request of his grandmother, who he does have a great relationship with. He's awkward, nerdy, and completely adorable - he just needs to find a guy who sees that!

Enter David. David is bisexual, although not open and out about that, since the town has only ever see him date women. He's instantly taken with Oliver, although Oliver finds it hard to believe that a Lumbersexual, outdoorsy, sports-loving man would ever want him. Oliver is looking for something more than just hookups, and can really see what a wonderful person Oliver is.

I LOVED these two together! Their romance was fast-paced, but it still felt so genuine and sweet, sexy and real. David was a perfect match for Oliver, I loved how patient and caring he was with him. And I absolutely loved how much David loved the bits of satin and lace that Oliver enjoyed wearing. Seriously, these two were fire together.

Michael Pauley did a great job, as always, bringing these characters to life. I also enjoyed all of Oliver's family's voices! He always brings the steam when called for, and I just love him voicing Oliver and David together.

Enjoyed!

I really enjoyed this opposites attract story. I loved getting to know David and Oliver. The chemistry, and all the emotional feels of this book were amazing. This was exciting, lots of drama, funny, some anxious moments and a beautiful love story! Michael Pauley once again does a superb job of giving voice to these characters. I could listen to his voice all day!

Warming things up in the snow

Our "lead" MC, Oliver, is an introverted nerd with no social skills who literally HATES the cold...but, he's a bit of a kinky little devil, too. He lives in a cottage on his Nana's property and works from home, only going out when needed and doing his Nana's bidding. However, when it comes to this year's family reunion, he tries everything to get Nana to let him stay home. They're going to a SKI RESORT!

David seems to try to enjoy life and what he does with it. IMHO, David is just a little too Mr. Perfect for me, but to each their own. David now owns his own touring business, but before that, he worked as an instructor at the ski lodge. So, when things go astray, David is there to help Oliver out.

The MCs get to know each other quickly, and have some hot sexy times. Passions build, confidence and insecurities wage war, and then it's time for the reunion to end. Of course, we can't be left out in the cold like that.

Some time passes, a few too many coincidences align, and a compromise is reached at one side of the country...and then it's presented after a long flight and a terrifying drive to the other side of the country. We definitely get a HFN ending, but in the author's notes, it says there will be more from Anticipation. So, I'm looking forward to seeing how things work out for Oliver and his David.

My one complaint: what happened to the sampler box of baked goodies from Noah?

Michael Pauley did a great job as usual with the narration. The only character I had pictured differently was Lisa, Noah's mom, but all the characters were wonderful.

Oliver lives in Miami in his grandmother’s guest house and the weather suits him fine as he hates the cold. He works from home and generally keeps to himself. Reluctantly, he goes to Wyoming for a family reunion, and he’s freezing as expected until he meets David to help warm him up.

This book is a mostly sweet, predictable, small town romance. The men are opposites as David leads outdoor tours and Oliver works as a writer. David is bisexual but has never dated a man and Oliver had a bad relationship that left him emotionally vulnerable. Their story moves quickly from attraction to love in a few days but they do fit together well.

Oliver is ashamed that he likes to wear lingerie as it didn’t go over well with another partner and while David is all for it, the interactions surrounding it were more routine for my tastes. The majority of Oliver’s family is absolutely horrible to him and they have always been that way and there were few people that stood up for him which brought down the enjoyment of this one overall. But, the interactions between the men are sweet and that would be the reason to pick this one up.

Michael Pauley is great with the narration here. He was a warm tone to his voice which works well for the setting and his voices for both Oliver and David were distinct and he was able to show Oliver’s vulnerability well. The secondary characters all had their own voices but his female voices are similar in each performance which made him sound like characters from other books he has already narrated. An audio performance from his narrator is always top quality allowing his performance to elevate this book.
