சுமார் 1967-ம் ஆண்டு முதலே, எனக்குத் திருவண்ணாமலை தவச்சீலர் ஸ்ரீ ரமண மஹரிஷிகளின் படைப்புகளிலும், அவரது வழிகளிலும் ஓர் ஈர்ப்பு ஏற்பட்டது. அதனால்1971-ம் ஆண்டு முதல் எனக்கு ஏற்பட்ட சில அனுபவங்களைக் கட்டுரைகளாக முதலில் எழுதத் தொடங்கினேன். அவ்வாறு 2009-2010 ஆண்டு காலகட்டத்தில், “தமிழ் ஹிந்து”இணைய தளத்தில் பதிக்கப்பெற்ற சில கட்டுரைகளைத் தொகுத்து, ஒரு நூலாக வெளியிடும் ஆர்வம் தற்சமயம் எனக்குத் தோன்றியது. இந்தக் கட்டுரைகள் எழுதும்போதும், அவைகளை நூலாகத் தொகுக்கும்போதும் பல வழிகளில் பொறுமையுடன் இருந்து எனக்கு உதவிய எனது மனைவி திருமதி. சாரதா ராமன் அவர்களுக்கும் எனது அன்பார்ந்த நன்றிகள்.
