About this listen

James Thicke is a man whose mysterious past runs as deep as his violent streak. He’s channeled the intensity of his soul into twin passions - success as a screenwriter and marriage to movie actress Regina Baptiste. In the midst of filming his latest script, starring Regina and leading man Johnny Bergs, James receives a video of his wife caught in the most compromising of situations. Hours later, the clip of the on-set infidelity has hit the Internet and gone viral in the blogosphere and across all channels of social media. James responds to the affront by savagely attacking Johnny Bergs, and the spectacle has both the paparazzi and the police amassing at the married couple’s estate. James goes on the run, but only as far as the city of Downey, California. As James tries to protect Regina from Hollywood’s underbelly, lust, blackmail, and revenge become his constant companions. Does an accidental affair spell permanent danger?

Very good book

This book was very interesting. It has a lot of turns and twist. The narrator is very good. A lot of steamy scenes which were mainly at the beginning. Wanted to get to the action but it finally came. Great book overall

I was with this until this demi-god...

What did you like best about An Accidental Affair? What did you like least?

The narrator is awesome. Very good diction and command of language. Great with accents. A good storyteller. But really? Some corny writer kills a known family of thugs? So unrealistic that it's actually funny that the writer thought readers wold be bowled over by it.

Would you recommend An Accidental Affair to your friends? Why or why not?

Sure but some of my friends would be just as disappointed by the ending.

Have you listened to any of Christopher Lane’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I've not listened to him but love his voice.

Could you see An Accidental Affair being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?

Yes since Americans seem to love the unrealistic.

I've read better

I enjoyed the narration of the book but this was not my favorite EJD book. I have definitely enjoyed some of his other stories more than this one. Not terrible, just not one of his best in my opinion

Exciting read...

In the end, many subplots that appeared to be converging into certain disaster for both hero and heroine implode and leave the reader going WTF??? 'didn't see that coming! And when it comes down to what I consider a good read, that type of development is what I pay for and relish.
Another well done 👏 story by Mr Dickey.

Great story and narration

The story had the perfect blend of love, sex, and intrigue. Well written and performed. The narrators voice kept me very interested, as if watching a movie.

A Great Story and a Great Read!

An Accidental Affair
First of all, let me say, Eric Jerome Dickey is a wonderful writer.   I always enjoy reading his books. His characters are always multi-layered and interesting people.  They are very well developed, very intriguing and always entertaining. You never end up where you think you might. And even if you do, you can't predict how you will get there because EJD will always throw you off.  I love it!  I wish he would bring out a book more often than what he does. His  writing truly entertains me and takes me to another place, right in the middle of his story.
The one thing I really like about EJD's books is, you always can come away with a strong moral lesson and the journey to that moral lesson is simply extraordinary.
