About this listen
VERITAS' forces have secured a foothold in the ancient city, but at high cost. As Amara prepares for a supply run that will see her father restored and the Silver Rose reinforced she finds herself conflicted. She has discovered both strength and weakness in herself and must work to improve both. Further more, a new relationship tugs at her heart as she tries to navigate her feelings for a certain guitar-playing bard that has made no secret of his feelings for her. At the same time, friends from the past and present war with each other for Amara's attention even as new family grows around her. And even now a great danger is waiting in the dark to draw blood. Will Amara be able to pull together all the points of light in her life to dispel it in one great act of defiance, or will she be swallowed up when things fall apart around her?

An amazing second book
After reading the second book I could only think about "how can the second book top the first" I honestly thought it would be impossible, but I was wrong. This continuation of the story was one of the best books I have ever listened to. And I recommend reading this book.

The journey continues
Another journey into the world of Amara. I can’t wait to continue to her next adventure. It is easy to get caught up in the characters of the story, the emotions of the journey and what awaits in every chapter.

The pure force of good overpowering the evil strength of bad.
The sequel to Amara's Story did not disappoint. It is a continuation of good vs. evil with nail-biting suspense and vengeance. I couldn't get enough of the continued development of beloved characters, meeting new characters, watching a continuing love story, watching a new love story develop, and the growing intensity of each battle. I absolutely love that a group of "misfits" knit tightly together making a beautiful, heart-felt, true family.
