Dear Listener,

What is the best part of being an author?
"Becoming an author has been an insane ride. When I was working 130+ hours a week as a resident, it never occurred to me that I would ever devote myself to anything other than medicine. However, expressing my creativity while connecting with amazing people around the world has turned out to be the greatest joy of my life. I find resonance in breathing life into characters, so much so that they begin to feel like real people to me. When I wrote my first book, I never expected anyone to ever read it. To my surprise and delight, through my writing, I have found a meaning in my own life and a connection to so many wonderful men and women around the world. I'm the luckiest guy I know. "– Aleron Kong, writer of Alpha

Glad there is new content

It’s off to a good start. A New World seems interesting with new systems in place. Only real complaints I have is I wish the book was longer as it didn’t seem to get a lot got done. Besides world set up. I wish all audio books were like 25-30 hours long. Look forward Alpha2, book 9 of the Land, and God’s eye2

The level up tone was ear piercing.

The bell tone for the level up is ear piercing hopefully in the next book they will tone it down a little.

Good, but Lots of Build Up

As always his writing style is always enjoyable. He has a gift. This being the first in a new series he does alot of ground work, and while I enjoyed it all I will admit it dragged a bit in the middle. I think it was nessisary but it was slow. So I do recommend but just be aware that there will be alot of talk about stats and the narrative itself moves slowly.

Great side story

This was a great addition to the universe. The magic system felt different and the pacing was different from The other two story lines, but in a good way. I like the different perspectives we get on characters Introductions to the labyrinth. Hopefully all of these stories converge down the road… we must be in for one wild ride. I recommend to and fans of The Land or Gods Eye!

A very enjoyable half of a book

Solid performance and a fun system fought against not a whole lot of actual story progress. Playing with the OPMC trope is fun, but when the ‘number go up’ and ‘MC’s internal voice struggling’ seem to make up the majority of the book, it leaves the ending feeling a bit incomplete and jarring. Were I being jaded I’d say that the ending was decided by word count or audiobook runtime. In that vein, the last half hour of the audio book is actually the first three chapters of the land. Don’t get me wrong, I’ll 100% listen to and enjoy the next book in this series, but this one would have felt more complete if some more of the beats were resolved.

Fantastic start to a new series!

I really enjoyed this one! It's great to see Aleron is back at it, and his writing has only gotten better and better! Amazing system set up, love the MC, excited to see where this goes! I love that with the AKU we get a full picture, such a great experience! Pavi was a fantastic pic, great voices and pacing!

Worlds, stories, and characters linking together

Great start to a new series! And he is back! The father of LitRpg! Different twist of his best seller but still awesome! Entertaining all the way through. Not too much gaming jargin but just enough to show his style.

Enjoying a Low-Powered LitRPG

My only disappointment was that the last 35 minutes were the first three chapters of the Land.
