About this listen

Includes an audiobook-exclusive bonus track with Ben Higgins answering fan questions!

Are you tired of people knowing who you are but no one really knowing you?

As the star of the 20th season of The Bachelor, Ben Higgins looked like he had it all together. Instead, Ben felt dissatisfied, fearful, and deeply alone. Like so many of us, he thought of himself as the kid who never got picked for the game, the person always on the outside of the joke, the friend who knew a lot of people but was never truly known. He wondered if he mattered at all.

In Alone in Plain Sight, Ben vulnerably shares how he found authentic connection with himself, with others, and with God. As Ben helps us name our own yearning for meaning, he explores:

  • ways to understand ourselves more deeply so that we are free to connect with others;
  • how shared pain can bridge even the widest gaps between two very different people;
  • why we must deconstruct our culture’s fairy-tale view of love;
  • how the God who longs for relationship with us is the answer to our need for connection.

As Ben discovered, in a disconnected world, it is still possible to have lasting purpose and peace. You are already known. You are already loved. You are already seen. Discover how to live out how much you matter as you embrace the true meaning of your one incredible life.

More than just a pretty face

I listened to this book in two days. I absolutely loved it!! This is definitely a “self help” book more than a bachelor tell all. Ben gets very real with the stories he shares about his own life and the story of a few friends. It really opened my eyes to ways that I need to challenge myself and helped me feel brave enough to be vulnerable with God and loved ones. And also to ask the questions I need to ask in order to discover the answers I didn’t know I needed. Everybody knows Ben is good lookin. But this book showed his depth. It was inspiring, thoughtful and leaves me wanting to be more intentional with my life. Highly recommended.

Transcendent

Ben Huggins is definitely more than just The Bachelor. Incredible book that truly touched my heart and filled the need to speak the unspeakable of passion for God and others are one in the same. This is the validation in my own heart struggle that I have so desperately needed.

Everyone needs to read this book!

I feel like God sent me this book lol and that just feels so wild to say but every chapter there was something related to my life even down to Brandon losing 3 liters of blood and what I stand for in life as a person to this day. I don’t even know what else to say bc it just resonated with me so much. It’s so deep and just the beautiful journey of your life ❤️

Thoughtful self reflection

I’m really enjoying this book, well written & very thought provoking. I think it will help a lot of people with their own soul searching. Ben’s insights are not just about him. They reflect what we all can learn from our experiences with a lot of thoughtful self reflection and faith.

Excellent Listen

Loved it! Ben is an excellent human and this shone through in his writing... I love listening to memoirs because we get the author's voice. Has a Trista Sutter vibe to it! I was hoping for more of the 'alone' insights like at the beginning and audible editors could have done better, there are some mistakes, but overall well done Ben! Now for the Bachelor tell-all!

Excellent book

A very inspirational story. Very thoughtful about his relationship with God. Many things to give lots of thought to. Ben certainly seems to be “enough”.
