About this listen

In New York Times and USA Today best-selling author Kristen Proby’s brand new Romancing Manhattan series, three brothers get more than they bargain for as they practice law, balance life, and navigate love in and around New York City.

Finn Cavanaugh is known for being a force to be reckoned with in the courtroom. He owns a successful law firm with his brother and brother-in-law in Manhattan. On the rare occasion that he has down time, he spends it at his home in Martha’s Vineyard. But when Finn’s troubled niece goes to stay with him for the summer in Martha’s Vineyard, he’s reluctant to take time off from work. That is, until he meets his beautiful new neighbor, London.

London Watson is a Tony Award winning actress on Broadway. When tragedy strikes her family, leaving her alone and injured, she flees Manhattan for Martha’s Vineyard. Hoping she can figure out how to pick up the pieces of her life, London is convinced that she’ll never be able to return to the stage. But when she meets the charming young girl next door and her sexy uncle, they soon lure London out of her shell as she finally begins to heal from the wounds of her past.

But when London feels confident enough to return to the spotlight, she’s dealt another devastating blow. Will the newfound love between London and Finn be enough to conquer all? Or will it be over before it has a chance to grow?

Wonderful

Finn is a lawyer that ends up taking care of a friends will, London is a broadway star actress. When London ends up getting hurt and trying to rebuild her house after losing her parents the remeet and the relationship between them grows and is great. You see real issues through these two characters and a bond being built. Kristen Proby did not disappoint with this read. I could not put this book down. I can’t wait for the next book in this series.

Forget the titles... Kristen Proby is always a fantastic choice! I always come away from her books feeling entertained without a bout of angsty depression. This book was a win for me and I can't wait to see who's next in this series!

Foreplay book

If you need foreplay, this is the book. Performance was good. Story line predictable. Lots of sex "scenes."

Disappointed for the first time. Not sure if it was the narrator or the story.

All The Way

This is the first book in Kristen Proby's Romancing Manhattan series, and what a great start! I loved the characters and the plot. And as usual, there was a great romance between London and Finn. Abby Craden and Joe Arden did a fantastic job of bringing these characters to life!

Love story

I love this story. But I do admit it was a bit predictable. But that is only if you are very aware of the details. Abby craven was a great narrator and Joe Arden is one of my favorite narrators as well. This is a great story and I would recommend this book.

Sweet

Very sweet story without much drama. I think you will enjoy this book if you like steady but true love stories.

Good story but build up a bit long

A nice romance set in Manhattan and Martha’s Vineyard. Both characters are used to having things their own way and both are in their 30’s (Finn actually turns 40 at the end) so they are somewhat set in their ways. They have great chemistry and discover all the wonderful things about each other and as their feelings deepen they also rub each other the wrong way and learn to compromise and eventually communicate better. Both characters are very likeable. London is a successful Broadway musical performer recovering from a loosing her parents and a serious injury to her leg. Finn is a well off corporate N.Y. attorney. Both have been so career focused that they are both in need of a break and each other. The build up is slow and a few parts drag but the romantic storyline is sweet with one very suspenseful but predictable element. The book is a nice afternoon read or listen worth a sale purchase or hopefully someday part of the Romance Package- maybe a credit if you want a basic romance. Joe Arden is great as Finn though he must be Italian on mom Maggie’s side of paternal grandma because he has a great Irish name. I wish there had been a bit more of his narration or that it had been duet rather than dual. Abby Craden was competent if a bit young sounding for the part and her male voices were somewhat limited. A good story though not Kristen Proby’s best but a good start to a new series- as Finn has a bachelor brother, a widowed brother-in -law, and London has single a best friend!
