About this listen
Forbidden love and seductive intrigues intertwine in "Camelot's Echo: The Once and Future King,"
Where the pursuit of the Holy Grail becomes entangled with the clandestine affair between Sir Lancelot and Queen Guinevere. As their passion casts shadows over Camelot's splendor, a war erupts, leading to the illicit seizure of the throne by the cunning Knight Sir Mordred.
The kingdom, once radiant, crumbles in a final, devastating battle. As King Arthur collapses with a mortal wound, legends speak of his journey to Avalon, where he lies in a deep sleep, waiting for the tower bell to ring and the mighty sword to be drawn. The inscription on his tomb declares him the "Once and Future King."
The book intertwines love, magic, destiny, and tragedy, leaving the listener captivated by the timeless tale of Camelot's rise and fall, echoing through the realms of myth and legend.
"The Once and Future King" stands as an enduring symbol of hope, a beacon that transcends time, promising the return of King Arthur to rule again when the call of destiny awakens him from his enchanted slumber.
Can the Legends of Camelot survive without their King or does King Arthur return. Prepare for a whirlwind of action, heroism, romance and suspense.

Story
Ryland Grace is the sole survivor on a desperate, last-chance mission - and if he fails, humanity and the Earth itself will perish. Except that right now, he doesn't know that. He can't even remember his own name, let alone the nature of his assignment or how to complete it. All he knows is that he's been asleep for a very, very long time. And he's just been awakened to find himself millions of miles from home, with nothing but two corpses for company.

Story
Jazz Bashara is a criminal. Well, sort of. Life on Artemis, the first and only city on the moon, is tough if you're not a rich tourist or an eccentric billionaire. So smuggling in the occasional harmless bit of contraband barely counts, right? Not when you've got debts to pay and your job as a porter barely covers the rent. Everything changes when Jazz sees the chance to commit the perfect crime, with a reward too lucrative to turn down.

In the not-too-distant future, a 21-member crew launches from Earth. Their mission: to establish a temporary colony on Mars. Little do they know that colony will become permanent–and the last stand of the human race. Because, without warning, every single person left on Earth simply...vanishes. Now, a thousand years later, the resources needed to sustain life are running out, and the very existence of the Mars colony is threatened. Humankind has only one option–to return to its home planet.

Short Arthurian Novella Prequel
For me I felt the narration to be lacking emotion. I liked the story but felt like the narration could have made some of the scenes feel more immersive. I felt like she was very monotone. Maggie wrote a good story that kept me listening dispite the lacklustre narration.
Overall I give this 4 stars for the story!

Author: Maggie McAllister
Rating: 5 stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
This Maggie McAllister's debut & I really enjoyed it!
This is the perfect prequel novella to begin the Celtic Pantheon series and is a great summary to what happens before book one: Lost Land Of The Forbidden. (Which I'm really excited to read!)
I've always enjoyed Mythology based books so this was right up my alley.
Forbidden love, epic battles, magic, mythical creatures, and a deep dive into celtic lore - yes please.

☆Amazing Prequel♡
This was such a great way to kick off this series! I am so glad I listened to the audio version. The narrator did a phenomenal job. Sometimes, I find that with narrations, the voice drags on. Not in this story, though. The voice flowed perfectly and kept me intrigued! I also really enjoyed how we got a bit of backstory leading up to what book one will be about, but enough was kept hidden to keep me guessing what will happen next. The story was fast-paced, and I loved every bit of it!

Perfect narrator for this story!
This prequel to the Celtic Pantheon series combines action, heroism, magic and romance. Maria Johnson's narration is outstanding and kept me engaged with her rich and warm storytelling. I highly recommend this quick read about the chosen King Author. I look forward to listening to more in the series if the same narrator tells the tales.
