follows the movie really well with added details

I've seen the movie multiple times, and the anime, and still found I really enjoyed the audio book. It did a great job adding details and expanding. Really enjoyable, and great on its own I'm sure.

good movie. great book

I loved the movie. and wanted more background of the world. This provided it. There is a Lot of potential for many more books and movies here. The world is rich in potential and needs to be explored.

The movie + inner thoughts

This is just like the movie in almost every way, the only difference is that it includes the thoughts of many of the characters which adds to the backstory of them as well.

I don’t believe there are any additional scenes or anything like that in this book, but the reactions and thoughts do you add a new flavor to it.

There is may be also a strange juxtaposition where Alita gets her new body and transitions immediately from being a teenager to a woman and the weirdness that that brings up for the doctor and the nurse observing us. The movie doesn’t really mention that and that scene is a little different in the book versus the movie.

A great novel for Battle Angel fans

This is a great adaptation of the manga. While it does not follow the manga exactly it holds true to its spirit. If you loved the manga you will enjoy this audio book.
