Publisher's summary

Michael J. Sullivan's trailblazing career began with the breakout success of his Riyria series: full-bodied, spellbinding fantasy adventures whose imaginative scope and sympathetic characters won a devoted readership and comparisons to fantasy masters Brandon Sanderson, Scott Lynch, and J.R.R. Tolkien himself. Now Age of Myth inaugurates an original five-book series.

Since time immemorial, humans have worshipped the gods they call Fhrey, truly a race apart: invincible in battle, masters of magic, and seemingly immortal. But when a god falls to a human blade, the balance of power between humans and those they thought were gods changes forever. Now only a few stand between humankind and annihilation: Raithe, reluctant to embrace his destiny as the God Killer; Suri, a young seer burdened by signs of impending doom; and Persephone, who must overcome personal tragedy to lead her people. The Age of Myth is over. The time of rebellion has begun.

Narrated by: Amanda Forstrom, Bradley Smith, Carolyn Kasner, Chris Genebach, Chris Stinson, Colleen Delany, Danny Gavigan, David Jourdan, Eric Messner, Jessica Lauren Ball, Ken Jackson, Kimberly Gilbert, Lily Beacon, Lise Bruneau, Matthew Keenan, Michael Glenn, Michael John Casey, Nanette Savard, Nora Achrati, Peter Holdway, Richard Rohan, Rose Elizabeth Supan, Scott McCormick, Terence Aselford, Thomas Keegan, Todd Scofield, Tracy Olivera, Yasmin Tuazon, Zeke Alton, Nathaniel Perry, Mort Sheby

Excellent Listen

I very much enjoyed the dramatization. I like the twists and turns, intrigue, and the beginning of romance.

This is not the full story.

The cast is great. However, it stops in the middle of the story. Disappointing

Amazing Story and Awesome Performances

This story was so well-done and a complete 10/10. I was engaged from start to finish! The voice acting was phenomenal as well as the production. You really feel completely immersed in the story! I can’t recommend it enough if you’re a fan of fantasy or stories with great world-building.

Also FYI, another review mentioned that this wasn’t the complete 1st book but it definitely is.

Good Production but Cringeworthy Pronunciations

I really like the dramatized versions of this series. However, it's very difficult hearing pronunciations of proper names differently in the dramatized version than in the original audiobooks.

mon-du-lay or mo-win-du-lay?
tesh-lore or tek-a-lore?
gil-ar-ah-brin or gila-rab-ru-in?

It was like watching a movie

The story itself is amazing, while the performance was unbelievable. I recommend this to anyone who is looking for excitement and something different.

Great book

You have to get used to the long character development but once you’re in you’re hooked.

Mildly predictable, yet fun!

it was a fun listen as a graphic novel. although the story was mildly predictable at times it was still a fun listen. I would definitely recommend.

I’m changed forever

Having listened to so many audio books and can’t tell you how refreshing it was to come across a graphic audio production. Takes audio books to an entirely higher level. I’m excited. I know everyone says this but I promise you I have written maybe a dozen reviews in my life. Most because of something bad but I wanted all the other listeners like me to know about these audio books and be prepared. I don’t know how I’ll ever go back to your run of the mill books. I am getting NOTHING for writing this. I’m a Mobil mechanic who loves emersing myself in a great audio book. Happy listening and give these a try. I don’t think you’ll regret it!
