Great Audiobook to learn about Positive Affirmations!

I had never really worked with positive affirmations or even looked into it before, but I was very happily surprised when I listened to this audiobook. The book was very enjoyable to listen to and helped me to understand the importance of positive affirmations. Understanding the mind and how we perceive negative thoughts especially helped me!

Keys to feeling at peace

In today's hectic society, these tools to finding inner peace can be life changing. With a soothing voice narrating, it was easy to relax and let the words almost entrance me. Life is stressful and I have found myself, at times, feeling a lack of confidence or letting stress get me down. This book has opened my eyes to ways that I can release my burdens and force myself to both believe in myself and the world around me through inner dialogue and affirmations. It lays these lessons out in an easy to understand format in a way that makes achieving inner peace seem obtainable and desirable.

Overcome fear

It can be easy to get caught in a loop of negative over-thinking. You worry about something, then compound that worry with unconscious mental biases. Something bad happened, so something bad is going to happen happen. Enough.

This book teaches you how to break those mental patterns. Instead of always thinking about the worst possible scenario, it's possible for you to imagine a world in which things work out. That's over-simplifying things a bit, but it can be just that simple.

Small quibble, though: There are a few odd mispronunciations here and there.

Helps to change the way you think!

I thought this book would have a list of affirmations I could use to change my mindset. However, it did that and more. I learned that I had my mindset wrong and it showed me ways to improve this. I also have his other affirmations book and by listening to both of them I feel more mindful and I am ready to reach my goals. I made it a habit to listen to affirmations every morning and this helps me stay focused on this goal. The affirmations are really helpful and they are helping me change my subconscious mind to attract positivity into my life.

Quick Read on Affirmations!

I had never really looked into affirmations before listening to this audiobook. It was truly eye opening and allowed me to view myself from a positive perspective, regardless of circumstance. Helpful in today's stressful world

I had mixed feelings going into this book not having done any prior work on affirmations, but was impressed at the scientific and mature manner in which the material was represented. "An affirmation is not simply a wish" is actually a really powerful realization and the book goes on to support how it does take active, hard working steps to get established in the practice of affirmation. Many great tips are offered in how to best establish a routine of utilizing affirmations and how the more they are practiced, the more you will see your life change. It can sound overwhelming at first when you take into consideration all the steps you must take and things you must remove in your life in order to free your mind, but there is great truth in cleaning out the clutter.

While it did not take away from the content, the audio and Audible chapters did not align. for example, the reader would say "chapter 4" when in fact it was starting chapter 6. Again, it didn't throw off the book, just might make it a little confusing if you weren't paying attention to where you left off.

Overall, this is a great book for people to listen to in how to get our minds into better ways of thinking and was easy to follow along.

Find metal clarity amongst the chaos

Positive Thinking is an all-in-one course in getting your mind right. I appreciate how it mentions other factors besides affirmations that contribute to negative thought. Your environment, what you put into your body, and what you put into your mind are all factors in feeling good.

I love the suggestion to create your own affirmation as opposed to simply repeating someone else’s. I noticed when I began personalizing my positive affirmation, I began to truly believe it.

The wisdom shared in this book helped me find mental clarity in a chaotic work environment. This alone was priceless. As the book says, it takes practice to get good. I hope for more emotional and mental clarity the more I use the techniques I learned in Positive Thinking.

Positive affirmations!

Many books on this topic exist, but few are as clear, simple and well thought out as this one. I listened to this book on my morning runs for a.couple of days and then listened again. The chapters with the actual affirmations help you keep a motivated mindset.
and the chapters explaining how the subconscious works are super interesting. Loved the narrator too!
