Publisher's summary

Kiron has secretly gathered an army of dragon riders to seek refuge in the abandoned desert city they have named Sanctuary, where they join with other dragon riders to rid their world of both war and magical domination. But now it is time to build a new society in Aerie: an ancient city that seems to have been designed for dragon riders and their dragons.

Mercedes Lackey fan

Narrator was very good. Good story, a little repetitive to catch new readers up to date.

A wonderful ride

This was a great story. A little slow at times, but a knock out at the end. It was a good wrap on the series. Make sure to add it to your series.

Lacking an interesting story

Least interesting out of the four books in the series. I wish I could get my book credit back.

Confusing voices

Good story but can't understand why the narrator chose Irish and Scottish accents for a story taking place in ancient Egypt

A Solid End To The Series

A meandering but enjoyable final entry in the saga of Kiron, his dragon Avatre, and the whole Altan/Tian ensemble crew.

While I did get impatient with the relationship drama at times, which seemed to grow from nothing, served no real purpose, and then just... ended, the characters were also very nuanced. Even in the depths of Drama, I still enjoyed hearing about developments in their lives. On top of that, the plot itself was interesting enough to keep me engaged at worst, engrossed at best, with a very interesting twist at the end.

Tl;Dr: not perfect, but a solid read and nice end to the Dragon Jousters books.

I hope there’s more!

This series contains two of my favorite story elements: gods who interact with humans, and dragons! It is well written and keeps me wanting more at every step.
