Publisher's summary

Entertaining, crazy, and hilarious stories from Scott Ian of Anthrax Scott Ian, famous for cofounding legendary thrash metal band Anthrax and only slightly less so for his iconic beard, has done and seen a lot in his decades of touring.

Those of you who have heard Scott's memoir I'm the Man may know the history of the band, but Access All Areas divulges all the zany, bizarre, funny, and captivating tales of what went on when the band wasn't busy crafting chart-topping albums. In his more than 30 years immersed in the hard rock scene, Scott has witnessed haunting acts of depravity backstage, punched a legendary musician, been a bouncer at an exclusive night club, guest-starred with Anthrax on Married with Children, invaded a fellow rock star's home, played poker professionally, gone on a non-date with a certain material girl, appeared on The Walking Dead, and much more.

Access All Areas allows its listeners to do just that. With humor, candor, hindsight, and writing chops that would make Stephen King jealous (nope, not even on Bizarro world), Scott Ian takes his fans along for the ride at all the parties, hot spots, and behind-the-scenes shenanigans they will never hear about from anyone else. And none of it would have happened without a bit of divine inspiration from KISS. (No, seriously. Listen to chapter two.)

Best of all, Scott seemingly lacks the ability to be embarrassed, making Access All Areas howlingly funny, self-deprecating, and every bit as brash and brazen as one would expect from one of the original architects of speed metal.

Great review of a touched life.

Scott shows us that he’s just like us (a regular dude) but “touched” by great experiences and people along his journey as a musician. In this book he shares his friendships with some great people and makes it entertaining (even if it’s just a “you should have been there moment”). Great job Scott, and thank you for the inside peek at what makes you “The Man”.

Poker Faced

This would be a 5 star book if we didn’t get forced all the poker talk. If you are not into poker just skip those chapters and enjoy this book. Compared to his I’m the man book this one is eh at best. Still a must listen for Anthrax fans.

Beyond Entertaining

my first ever review of an audio book. remain seated. Let me just say, that these stories really gave me greater insight into the hilarity of the rock and roll world. Scott's vocals to this book are completely necessary. its like sitting on uncle Scott's knee, listening to the tales of life and the road. I felt this to be personally read to me by Mr. Ian. The voices and storyline told ina matter of fact tone that was easy to listen intently and absorb as much as my addled brain can absorb. Being close in age, it brought me back to the seventies, eighties and recent history and were I was at as a die hard metal head. I was transported rather easily to each story and really felt as if I were just hanging out with my bro scott ian for the entirety of the story. If you are a fan of Anthrax or music in general, pick this up. Just a fun read. Sébastien Bach mother****er! Enjoy

Great Stories, But Not A Lot About Musix

Scott Ian's an excellent storyteller and has certainly lived an interesting life. His first book, I'm The Man, is fun and entertaining. And this book continues along the same lines. But while Scott shares tons of interesting and often hilarious adventures, all very well told, it doesn't include all that much about music.

And given that Scott's a seminal member of Anthrax, one of thrash's Big Four and hugely successful metal band, I'd hope there would be more about his music, or music in general.

Regardless, if you're a fan of Scott's, Anthrax, or metal in the general, you'll likely enjoy this book.

Scott Ian is a guy I'd like to drink a beer with.

Scott does a good job telling stories. Just a regular dude living a metal life.
