Publisher's summary
It was the ideal marriage of convenience...until they met.
Cassandra DeWitt has seen her husband only once - on their wedding day two years earlier - and this arrangement suits her perfectly. She has no interest in the rude, badly behaved man she married only to secure her inheritance. She certainly has no interest in his ban on her going to London. Why, he’ll never even know she is there.
Until he shows up in London too, and Cassandra finds herself sharing a house with the most infuriating man in England.
Joshua DeWitt has his life exactly how he wants it. He has no need of a wife disrupting everything, especially a wife intent on reforming his behavior. He certainly has no need of a wife who is intolerably amiable, insufferably reasonable...and irresistibly kissable.
As the unlikely couple team up to battle a malicious lawsuit and launch Cassandra’s wayward sister, passion flares between them. Soon the day must come for them to part...but what if one of them wants their marriage to become real?
Hilarious, heartrending, and hot, this standalone Regency romance tells the story of a marriage of convenience between opposites.

That he is interested in more than Susan's considerable inheritance is highly unlikely. That he will be immune to Charlotte's allure is even more unlikely. With a Viscount title in his future, Stuart expects it shouldn't be difficult to marry an heiress. Still, once he meets Charlotte, how hard will it be to charm her? Quite, actually. Now Stuart has only one option: to take revenge on her through seduction.

What a Gem! Fun, witty, complex love story.
This book was such a surprise, What a Gem for this genre!
Well written love story, complex characters, funny and witty banter along with some obstacles and deep emotions.
Story: 5 stars. I disagree with others, this book is not too long.
The love story develop gradually, characters are developed more deeply, we are invited into the relationship and understand why the characters fall in love with each other. And along the way, we fall in love with them.
Side characters are interesting, and I look forward to reading more books in the series.
Bravo Mia Vincy, keep writing please, and producing audiobooks!
Narration: 5 stars. It is superb as always. Kate reading has a rich voice, narrates and acts beautifully, distinguishes between characters and acts men voices well. She also adds a subtle comedic undertone, that is priceless. It’s like a vacation for my ears :-)
Heat factor: simmering to hot, as part of a committed relationship.
Highly recommended!

Great humor!
I’m an avid romance listener and most are more on the serious side. This title however had me laughing out loud so often my husband kept coming into the kitchen while I was doing my baking and when I was busy painting walls wondering what in the world was going on! Highly recommended if you like a few laughs with your daily dose of romance!

So Good!
I really enjoyed this book. The banter between the h&h was so funny and the narrators pacing was timed perfectly for it. Even though much of the book was hilarious it deals with some serious themes like depression and loss. This author is for certain on my radar now.
