Phenomenal story!!

Great story!! I would highly recommend this to anybody who likes a love story, a action story, suspense and inspiration. Three stories that intertwine and come together at the end. The narrarator was very good, also.

A Voice in the Wind

This is an amazing, moving story that takes place during the Roman Empire, after the death of Jesus. Although fiction, the author gives a very interesting and insightful glimpse into this famous era of history. This is a Christian novel, but do not think this is a light read. There is violence, audultery, deceit and greed throughout the story. Francine Rivers does not sugar coat anything. She tells it like it is. I loved it!

Decadent, powerful, moving

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Absolutely! This book depicts the decadence of Rome and Ephesus in all its carnal glory, but there are glimmers of hope

What was one of the most memorable moments of A Voice in the Wind?

The kindness of Marcus to Hodassa in the face of Julia's cruelty

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

There were many passages that floored me. The idea of honor in a society where honor does not reign... the idea of blood lust, perversion, and yet wanting to live a life pleasing to God... it is not too far a stretch to see the society that we live in today becoming similar to that of Rome 2000 years ago

Any additional comments?

I agree with some of the other reviewers who stated that Richer Ferone's narration was not quite the best fit for this book particularly with his slight whine in the voices of female characters. However, his narration itself, and the story on its own, carry this book. It is a worthwhile read.

Great book

I loved the story. So up lifting this story spoke to my own spiritual walk. The only thing I didn't like is the mans voice who was reading it. I prefer a women's voice when listening to a book

Chapter 23 cuts into 28 mid-way

Would you listen to A Voice in the Wind again? Why?

Not sure if that is supposed to be there, as in they accidentally spoke chapter 28 and the story really continues on from there, or if chapter 28 is really placed there.
