I only purchased this book yesterday and immediately started to listen to it. However the narrater sounds so full on. She barely pauses for a breath. I managed to listen for an hour but gave up. I usually love Patricia Scanlan's books but unable to read this one it is not a pleasant read because of the narration. I cannot speak for the story as I have not completed or intend to complete this book. Because Patricia Scanlan is one of my favourite authors I will buy a hard copy of this book.
I cannot understand why authors do not stick with a fabulous narrator when they have them read their previous books it happens so often with Audible and is very disappointing.
