Publisher's summary

Toby never meant to be a highway robber, but needs must. He didn’t plan to impersonate a top London valet either, but when the chance comes to present himself as the earl of Arvon’s new gentleman's gentleman, he grabs it. Unfortunately, the earl is the man he seduced and robbed on the road to get here. Oops.

Miles, Lord Arvon, is not impressed. But he’s faced with a tumbledown home and lost family fortune, and desperate times call for desperate measures. Toby—shameless, practical, and definitely desperate—may be just the man he needs.

To steal back a priceless bracelet, that is. What else were you thinking?

Okay

A Thief in the Night is a short MM Historical Romance Novella set in England. It is 2 hours 45 minutes long. The narrators did a good job but the story itself didn’t really capture or hold my attention. I was a little bored for the first 70% of the book. I really enjoyed the final 30% though. This was included with the Audible Plus catalog. I wouldn’t have been happy purchasing this but for being included, it was fine. Overall, I give this book 2.5 stars.

Loved it!

Short, sweet and romantic! Something to come back to time and again! only 2 hours long so minimal time committment.

I don't sense the heat between the guys.

In spite of the hot scene at the start....I don't feel the attraction, the pull, somehow. It doesn't spark for me. The premise is fun, but something is lacking in the romance.

Just a treat!

Only complaint is that this story is too short! Loved the interaction between H and H! Good plot line with realistic approach to parent’s mental illness. I’d love to see a sequel involving Toby’s siblings…and what was that little Easter egg about Toby’s noble background? More is needed!

Excellent story

Loved everything about it except one major problem. It was WAY TOO SHORT!!! Hope to see more like this (but maybe longer?) Thanks!

I will always love anything KJ writes!

This short and sweet novella is classic KJ Charles historical romance goodness with a fun premise and lovable characters. The audiobook narrators James Joseph and Ryan Laughton are perfect! I think this book will be loved by both new listeners and long time KJ fans.

Adorable

This was so sweet and wholesome. I am definitely interested in reading more KJ Charles after this, so glad it was offered to audible members. It was a lot like the books by one of my favorite authors, Cat Sebastian.
