Publisher's summary

Agatha Raisin's detective agency has become so successful that now all she wants is some R&R. But as soon as she cuts back her hours, Agatha remembers that when she has too much quality time, she doesn't know what to do with it. So it doesn't take much for the vicar of a nearby village to persuade her to help publicize the church fete, especially when the fair's organizer, George Selby, happens to be a gorgeous widower. The problem is that several of the offerings in the jam-tasting booth turn out to be poisoned, and the festive family event soon becomes a murder scene. Now Agatha must uncover the truth behind the jam tampering and expose the nasty secrets lurking in the seemingly innocent village - all while falling for handsome George, who just may have some secrets of his own.

A web of perpetrators.

Agatha helps promote a fete which end in death for a couple of older villagers. With help she she finds a web of deceit and plenty of suspects.
I enjoyed Agatha and companies latest exploits.

Enjoyably predictable ~

Fun character interactions - a bit too predictable to rate five stars~ but still I recommend it.

GREAT narrator!

This was a great story - made even better by the narrator. I’ll have to look for other books she’s narrated.

Completely lost with the narrator.

The narrator made it hard to follow the story. She makes them sound like the characters are ancient. I couldn’t tell who was who. It threw off the listening of the story. I couldn’t stay engaged.

Agatha shines!

First of all...Wanda McCaddon does a great job of narrating! Also, it was fun to meet new characters, especially Toni. Enjoyed this one a lot!

Good story

This is a good mystery, however, the narration is hard for me to listen to. I just couldn’t get into the voice and she isn’t able to capture the different personalities. The story carried me through.

Good 'Ol Aggie

Another delightful story by the late Ms. Beating. I'm hoarding them like diamonds.
