Publisher's summary

Even an elite soldier can admit he’s lost.

Gruff and tough, Edward Giordano’s success as an elite Special Forces soldier doesn’t carry over to his personal life. Emotionally scarred from a painful childhood, he’s built a wall around his heart that he lets very few penetrate.

Audra Lorenzo, a first-year school teacher, is on a road trip with her niece during the holidays. A storm that was supposed to pass, instead crosses her path. Lost, with her GPS cutting in and out, her car skids off a road, down an embankment, and into an icy river. Everything goes black.

Regaining consciousness in a remote cabin, Audra finds she and her niece were saved by Edward, a soldier who’d put his life in danger to rescue them. Harsh and unfriendly at first, the lieutenant’s demeanor frightens her. As days go by, small kindnesses shine through chinks in his armor, and her heart is drawn to his. But does he feel the same? Can this scarred and guarded man find it in him to share the same love for her?

Good Military Christian Romance

I enjoyed this book. Edward, an elite Special Forces soldier, saved Audra and her niece from a watery death after their car skidded into a river from an icy road. The story was charming. The characters were personable. The romance was sweet. I liked the character arc that Edward went through as the tale progressed. Christian beliefs were a thread woven throughout the plot. Tanner DeBruyne's narration was great, and his performance kept my attention. I was given a free copy of the audiobook, and I have voluntarily posted this review.

Enjoyable and thought provoking book

Edward had a horrific past, abandoned and abused again and again and it had made him angry, bitter and convinced that he was unlovable. When he saved Audra and her niece from drowning it changed his life, and along with a boss and foster brother who stood by him, and Rev always trying to draw him to God, things changed. Enjoyable and thought provoking read.

Beautiful writing. Beautiful story.

Beautiful writing. Beautiful story.

I just finished listening to the Audible version of this book. Tanner DeBruyne, the narrator really is Edward. His voice is masculine, grumpy, apologetic, even kind. I really enjoyed his performance. He does great female, too. 5 stars for him as well.

This soldier does find his way. Edward and Audra. I enjoyed this interesting story from the freezing water rescue through to the horrible lie and misunderstanding to the HEA.

I also want to mention Marcus. His unwavering love for Jesus Christ. His patience and persistence in his friendships with others. A beautiful character.

I was gifted this audiobook from the author through Story Origin. This is my honest review.

Rescue Turns Romance

Parents- PG13- middle school and up
Language- PG - a few lesser words - no f-bombs
Violence- PG13- scary car accident and some mild battle ops scenes
Sexual Content- PG - clean just some kissing
Potential triggers - to abuse, abandonment, car accident, and foster care- although nothing was super descriptive

A winter snowstorm and a terrible accident nearly take the lives of Audra and her niece. Enter stage right- a dog and a not-so-charming special forces soldier. Without giving it away it has all the feels, ups, and downs of any good romance read and also stays very clean with a mild Christian touch toward the end. I do recommend this to those who like the clean romances.

Narrator- The narration was great, but I did prefer listening at 1.35x speed.

Clean contemporary romance with a lot of angst

A Soldier Finds His Way was a good story. This is more of a religious story that the other books that I have read by this author. It is a very clean romance, and it is more about inner turmoil in the characters than finding their way together. The story finds Edward and Audra fighting a relationship. Edward is in the military, and Audra is a teacher. The world is fighting to keep them apart. Will they make it together?

A HEART FELT STORY THAT'S BOTH FUN AND MOVING...

Storyline is extremely well written and very easy to follow. Acceptable for slightly more mature audience. Narrator is great and easy to follow.

Sweet inspirational Christian Romance!

This is a beautiful story, sweet, clean, and inspirational Christian romance. Edward, an elite Special Forces soldier, is handsome, broken, and protective. His past his heartbreaking. Audra, a first-year school teacher, is beautiful, smart, caring, and supportive. Fate brought them together, and I loved to follow them in this beautiful journey to trust, and love. Audra's niece Zoe is such a cute and smart little girl! Tanner De Bruyne did a great with the narration. I enjoyed it.
