Publisher's summary

Can a priest, his brother, and the brother's girlfriend solve a murder case and see justice done - or will they be the murderer's latest victim? A Murder on Wall Street takes us inside the world of Captain O'Brian's Irish Pub and Cigar Bar in Manhattan, a legendary hotspot in the Financial District. Investigating the death are pub owners Joey Mancuso, fired from the New York Police Department for his unorthodox methods, and his brother Father Dominic, who isn't your typical priest. Also investigating is Marcy Martinez, a Cuban bombshell and FBI agent who is Joey's girlfriend.

When a customer kills himself after celebrating the night before, the three know something's wrong. Turns out, the customer's death coincides with people losing money - lots of it - and some of those people are very, very dangerous.

Brilliantly written!

Owen Parr weaves the best mystery novel where everyone is a suspect and then the grand finale uncovers the guilty parties. Stunning!

Stefan Rudnicki knew his characters well and brought them to life. Well done!

I was given a free review copy of this audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Enjoyed

I throughly enjoyed this book. I am usually good at figuring out who did it and this book kept me guessing. Looking forward to the next book in the series.

Excellent listen!

Both the author and narrator were new to me and they exceeded my expectations. I really enjoyed listening to this book and found it to be very realistic. This is a perfect example of fiction imitating real life. I requested this review copy audiobook and have voluntarily written this review. I will add both the author and narrator to my list to listen to.

Packed with details

The story moves a long nicely adding more and more details and more and more depth to the mystery. Definitely not cookie cutter storytelling.

Exceeded my expectations!

This is another new author for me. This is also another author I will be watching out for. This book actually surprised me, I was not expecting to enjoy this as much as I did.
Since there are other detailed reviews I won't restate what the book is about. I will say I thought this was an unlikely trio for PIs but the author makes it work and I give him credit for that.
If you have kindle unlimited this is a no brainer, it's FREE!
Stefan Rudnicki does an excellent job narrating.
I HIGHLY RECOMMENDED this book (at a little over 5 hours it's actually a novella).

Kind of a fun, Modern Whodunit

Full disclosure: This was an "included" offer with Audible membership.
The main characters were a little thin and the motives sort of trope-y; the narrator could have been more lively.
Overall, not a bad murder mystery. There were a few cringey moments where Mancuso describes the female characters, but I've read a lot worse.

I liked the storyline

I definitely would recommend this book. My only issue was with the reader. It seemed a little shaky in the beginning. It got better, or I just got more into the storyline and stopped paying attention to the actual reading. His accents and going between characters was difficult, but I'd give him another chance. I'm not sure if he is new or just not a good reading this time.
