Publisher's summary

“Life takes you to unexpected places. Love brings you home.”

It appears that this time Agatha’s match isn’t going to work. Ethan and Claire can’t seem to find any common ground at all. They decide to end the marriage while they still are able. The town lawyer is out of the state due to a death in the family. Ethan and Claire need to travel to Hays and consult an attorney there. Hays is a 5-day journey on horseback.

Traveling to Hays is rough. They must camp out, find their own food, and watch for danger. It seems they can’t wait to get there and start the proceedings. However, a snake bite, a handsome stranger, and God all work together to complicate things... or do they?

Touching!

Barbara has written another fantastic Christian story. A poor little rich girl and a farmer had some twist and turns. The narrator did a great job and it was pleasant to listen too.

Fun Friday listen!

Is this the time Agatha, the matchmaker doesn't make the perfect match? Claire has a choice to make. After the untimely death of her parents, she either can live with her brother and his not so nice wife, or find herself a husband. With the help of Agatha, she goes to marry Ethan. Ethan needs a wife. Running his farm and taking care of his mother who is bedridden is difficult to say the least. Plus he would love to have someone to spend time with and love. But when these two meet, it's evident they aren't meant to be. He's a farmer, she's a city girl. He does all the housework, she had servants. Is she willing to bend and become a farmer's wife? Get dirt on her hands and make the dinner? I love, love love this story! It's filled with inspiration and faith, realizing what life is all about and that sometimes love is found in the most unlikely of places. This is a keeper, and will make your heart feel light!

Jamison Walker is a wonderful narrator and he delves into this story full strength. Not only does he have to do Ethan and Claire, but there are numerous characters, both men and women in the towns to personalize. He is great as Claire's mother-in-law, pulling out an older lady sound and making her likable! I enjoyed his performance and this book.
