I strongly suggest the book.

I strongly suggest the book. The narrator Winona has done a great job on the voices for each individual in the book. She has a wonderful voice that makes it a joy to listen to. The author has done her home work about the culture in the time each story would have taken place and it is written very well. What a well written and narrated book. You will enjoy it.

Beautiful book!!

I was amazed as to how much I loved this book! The stories of the women in the Bible in this book were told! I loved how each one was given a story! One to make you think more of how God prepared and used them! Beauty book!!!!
Thank you so much for writing this book- Francine Rivers!!!!

Worst narrator ever

Francine Rivers is an exceptional author. I’m sure this is another great book. However, the narration is so awful that I finally just quit listening!

Excellent

I love Rivers books. This is another gem! The questions at the end of each novella are excellent for review. Another home run!

Master plan of God to use women

What a brilliant recap of the linage of Jesus at just the right time; every woman. Love the historical facts The reader clearly reads, occasionally too clear or almost sounding like a computer. Would be a daunting job to read this huge piece of work. Overall very well done and enjoyable.

a poor narration spoils a good work.

excellent story description. a great pity the narration is woefully appalling! An improvement would enhance the quality of the story.

poor narration

If listening to a narrator who mispronounced words causes you to dislike a book, do not purchase. I thought at first it must be one mistake, but it happened repeatedly, over all 5 novellas.

Francine Rivers does it again!

As usual Francine Rivers takes her readers into the lives of her characters better than any author I’ve read. I was deeply moved by each novella even though I already knew each story from the Bible. Her imagination and ability to bring you into each story is quite amazing.

Unfortunately I almost gave up on this book several times, as the narrator was incredibly difficult to listen to. Her style of reading did not complement the era or genre. Some very frustrating mispronounced words, to me is almost inexcusable. ie “ec-scape” instead of escape, and others. Seems a little trivial but when you’re into the story then hear things like that, everything comes to a grinding halt.

I would definitely recommend this book. Remember what I’ve said about the narrator and brace yourself!
