About this listen

In A Grant of Arms, Thor is caught between titanic forces of good and evil, as Andronicus and Rafi use all of their dark sorcery to attempt to crush Thor's identity and take control of his very soul. Under their spell, Thor will have to battle a greater fight than he has ever known, as he struggles to cast off his father and free himself from their chains. But it may already be too late.

Gwendolyn, with Alistair, Steffen and Aberthol, ventures deep into the Netherworld, on her quest to find Argon and free him from his magical trap.

Reece leads the Legion members as they embark on a near-impossible quest to do what has never been done before: to descend into the depths of the Canyon and find and retrieve the lost sword.

Romulus, armed with his magical cloak, proceeds with his sinister plan to cross into the Ring and destroy the shield; Kendrick, Erec, Bronson, and Godfrey fight to free themselves from their betrayal; Tirus and Luanda learn what it means to be traitors and to serve Andronicus; Mycoples struggles to break free; and in a final, shocking twist, Alistair's secret is finally revealed.

Will Thor return to himself? Will Gwendolyn find Argon? Will Reece find the sword? Will the Ring fall into complete and final destruction?

With its sophisticated world-building and characterization, A Grant of Arms is an epic tale of friends and lovers, rivals and suitors, knights and dragons, coming of age, broken hearts, deception, ambition, and betrayal. It is a tale of honor and courage, fate and destiny, and sorcery. It is a fantasy that brings us into a world we will never forget and which will appeal to all ages and genders.

I love this series AND the narrator

I would recommend this book to anyone who likes fantasy. The narrator has such a matching voice for the story. It keeps me so entertained and engaged. My mom was in the car with me and I was listening to the book. She hasn’t listen to any of the books and she even found it catching her attention even though I’m several books in!! 10/10 would recommend.

The story line is intriguing!

I’m invested in Thor and Gwen’s journey. I can’t wait to start the next book.

Star Wars meets The Lord of the Rings

Knights, Dragons, Damsels not in Distress but holding their own. Family secrets, Sorcerers, Battles galore and a mug or 4 to celebrate. Great quest, true love & deceit.
I want to think I’m like Thor, but I’m probably more a mix of Stephen, Godfrey & Cron.
Identifying character traits and a story line almost taking parts of Star Wars and Lord of the Rings along with a decent romance novel tossed in.

Good first few

The first few books were really good, but, now they are starting to feel very long. To many battles, to much cutting to one story to another, than back again. Really like the books, but this gets rather tedious.

won't let me give less than one star

riddled with inconsistencies and even for a fantasy book completely unbelievable Chrome acts more like a dog is able to be held in someone's arm yet tear arms off and sink his fangs into multiple throats at the same time mean while everyone stands around and waits for him to finish
