Publisher's summary

A vicious rivalry.
A forbidden desire.
A curse only her enemy can break.

After 20 years stuck in a fae convent with no word from whoever abandoned her there, Briony Rose is all out of hope. But when her parents suddenly claim her and reveal she’s a lost fae princess, she’s burdened with the weight of a kingdom on the brink of collapse. To secure her family’s precarious position, she must marry a wealthy human stranger. She would have done her duty with pride, if it weren’t for Thorne Blackwood.

Thorne Blackwood harbors three things: a secret name, a love for baked goods, and a long-standing plan for revenge on the family that destroyed his own. Briony Rose—a woman born to be his nemesis—provides the solution. With a single touch, he controls her. And through that control, he tricks her into triggering a curse that sends her family into 100 years of enchanted sleep.

But Briony isn’t the soft princess he expected her to be. She’s just as sharp and cunning as he is, and when she traps him in a bargain to reverse her family’s curse, he has no choice but to join a tense alliance. He too stands to gain from her plans, for if they break the sleeping spell, his own family will return from their forced slumber.

To accomplish their goal, they must cooperate on one task: pair Briony with a husband who will make her parents proud. It should be easy. Thorne has connections while Briony has wit and beauty. What neither of them expects is the forbidden desire that burns in their darkest hearts....

ACOTAR meets Kingdom of the Wicked in this standalone fairytale retelling of Sleeping Beauty. If you like enemies-to-lovers romances where the villain gets the girl, you’ll love this swoon-worthy story in the Entangled with Fae series.

Note: This book is new adult featuring mature situations and some adult language. The romance is slow burn, but leads to moderate steam.

A Dream So Wicked is a complete standalone novel set in the same world as The Fair Isle Trilogy. Journey back to Faerwyvae, or begin your adventure for the first time, with this enchanting tale. Each book in the Entangled with Fae series can be listened to on its own, and in any order. Happily ever after guaranteed!

These never get old

This is the next installment of the Entangled with Fae books/audiobook and again, the author and narrators did such a good job! I can’t wait until the next one! I’m hooked. I love the way she reimagines fairytales.

Fantastic Storytelling

Such a fantastic tale that gives us delicious enemies-to-lovers romance and a villain to fall for. With whimsy and delightful world building, this is captivating and one beautiful Sleeping Beauty retelling.

Sussing out who's at fault gives us so many intriguing shades of grey to the timeless tale. The characters were well developed and multi-faceted. Even the supporting characters were charming.

If fae are you thing and you adore watching love take root, then this gorgeously covered book was written just for you.

Unique, fun, magical retellings

First I want to say, both narrators did wonderful jobs with their parts. They sold the world, the emotion, and all of the characters.
I’ll admit, I’ve been a little burned out on fae romantasy, but I was intrigued because I love a good fairytale retelling. I was really excited to see that the world Tessonja Odette creates is unique, drawing on lore of magical creatures we know about and integrating them as fae in this world. It’s magical and lovely, with rules and great twists to the original tales. There’s homages to the stories and movies we grew up with, while being completely unique. Briony was intelligent, strong, and I was happy to see a plus-sized woman as the stunning heroine who has a passion for dance. I admire how Odette writes MMC’s greatly; Thorne was a man of complexity and layers. The enemies to lovers and found family element was fantastic, as well as breaking the cycle of familial trauma. This was a wonderful, magical read.

One of The Best from this Series

Caitlin Davies is one of my most favorite narrators. And I love the whole series. It is light and fun, but this story was such a unique and masterfully crafted re-telling. If you haven't read this series, start with book 1. It's totally worth the credit. If you are hesitating because the last two books were not as good as the others, the author compensates for that in this new addition.

What a wonderful story!

I love painting my nails and knitting and listening to books. Let’s just say I have had more manicures than usual this last week. I looked forward to getting to get back to it in the evening. This was hours full of enjoyment with just the right amount of spice. Loved the character development like the sweet kitty cat who really wants to murder, scratch eyeballs etc. all in the name of loyalty. The characters are all looking for family and find it in each other. Will definitely be buying more from this author and tagging the narrators for future titles as they were really good and that can make or break it for me. Can’t go wrong with this one. 5 stars all around.
