About this listen

I'm a witch. Not a good one or a bad one, although according to the snooty wizards, I'm a stain upon their robes. But who cares what those snobs say? I've got a job to do: stop demons from infiltrating Earth and killing all the witches.

Concentrating on my job is hard, though. First, the guy who's decided he's going to help me is hotter than Arizona in the summer. Like seriously, melt-my-panties-into-ash sexy. Second, demons are targeting witches such as me because, apparently, we're a tasty snack. Finally, the kitten I adopted has gone missing, and if I'm not mistaken, a demon stole it.

If there's one thing you should never do, it's mess with a witch's pussy. I don't care who I have to fight to get my furball back! And if I fall in love along the way... then it will at least get my mother off my back. Contains mature themes.

Oh My

Nice story. Different from the others. Would like to read the others. Hope the other two books are part of the escape section.

Audible brings out the humour very well.

Good narration and I really enjoyed the humour which came across very well in the audible version. A few laugh out loud moments. BOOK REVIEW A humorous quirky and entertaining read. Have read book one, missed book two which I will rectify today and will read any further books the author writes about these fun and engaging characters. Loved all the little plot twists and turns.

BOOK 3

The story could have mixed in more with the supernatural law firm that was mentioned In books 1-2.

Highly recommend!

This was well written and performed! I purchased both additions and enjoyed being able to flip between them. This third book of the series was just as well done as the first two. I loved the characters and this storyline. I would love to see this series continue.

Great story, read in a clear and concise way, and I highly recommend it!

I’ve read the other books in this series, but I think I like this one best. The mysterious Alistair and stronger than average witch Willow made a great pair of detectives, searching for the answers to a Demon uprising that was spelling disaster for Willows fellow witches. Their forbidden romance added another dimension to this entertaining mystery.

Less Smut, More Story, Same Snark

This series has been a rather fascinating evolution, and this volume was probably my favorite. It actually had the least amount of sex and smut scenes the first one not even happening until there was one 2.5 hours left of listening. This was a major shift from the first book in the series which was smut from the first sentence. I also enjoyed the protagonist Willow a witch who is quick tempered and competent constantly dealing with the prejudiced magical bureaucracy. Alistair is her interest an entitled male who is used to getting his way and being deferred to. The couple are cute and their banter in enjoyable. The story of a demon menace which had been growing through the first two volumes of this series really fills out nicely here and much more time is spent on elaborating on both the world, the greater conflict, and the political dynamics that are happening throughout this world. Overall the story felt very different from the other two, so folks looking for a hot steamy story similar to the first two might be surprised by this volume but as someone who really was enjoying the story being set up in the first two volumes I was pleasantly surprised, and am looking forward to future additions. One thing I was not pleased with however was the narration. Although not great in the first two I found Chandra's narration this volume to be robotic and grating, it really took away from the characters at times and would love to see someone with more inflection and life read these stories. Overall if you're looking for some supernatural mystery with some romance and a little smut and lots of playful banter this would be right up your alley. And if you are an Audible Escape member like myself you're in luck as of the posting of this review the entire series is available for you to borrow.
