Very thorough book while also providing empathy

Gives a thorough, but straightforward, and easy-to- understand explanation of dementia, it's types, and it's causes. A good reference for resources you can use, as a caregiver, for what's available to help them, and what is available to help you as a caregiver. My friend's husband has been diagnosed with dementia, and this book has helped me to understand better what she is going through, and given me ideas of how I can support her as she cares for him.

Map of Hope

This "Guide" could not have dropped into my lap at a better time! I have been caring for my mom for the last couple of years. As I get older, the tasks seem to get harder. This book breaks everything down into easier-to-handle ideas, suggestions and gives hope. I also really appreciate the resources in here, they are extremely helpful. The author writes in a very flowy way. As I read and come up with questions, he automatically answers them in the next couple of sentences. I would completely recommend this book to caregivers.
