I loved this book, I love books that are hard to put down. Twists and turns keep you on your toes. The only negative I would is it kinda reminded me of the movie “Speed.”

I felt like we should have gotten deeper into the story. It had such a good outline but I felt like I didn’t like any of the characters and didn’t care about any of them.

Another Entertaining Rollercoaster

I started listening to this book this morning and could not turn it off or even pause it for a few minutes until it was done. This book is as good if not better than Barker’s Fourth Monkey.
The protagonist is Jordan Briggs is a radio talk show host. She’s popular and controversial. Opinionated and crass. Often called a bitch. Her character is so fleshed out she could be a neighbor and isn’t that how a really good book should read?
Ten years earlier when she was just starting out she played a game/prank the woman at the center of the prank moved to NY from the heartland of the US. Cute and shy and broke, she was given a dare by Jordan. The date turns into a disaster with a few dead bodies under the wheels of the girl’s car. The girl goes to prison but Jordan walks away unscathed. This is the story of one of the victim’s husband and how time does not heal all wounds.
The two narrators Brian Hutchinson and Mia Barron work wonderfully together.
This book has my HIGHEST RECOMMENDATION.

Oh heavens, the male narrator has the worst cadence, pausing the wrong time, talking fast…it’s really distracting and almost enough to stop listening.
