This story had it all: Unforgettable characters, family, drama, a little bit of a mystery, and a wonderful narrator. I didn’t want it to end. I’m really going to miss everyone from Fox House!

I had a hard time keeping the names straight but I loved all of the resolutions at the end!

This is a great read. I usually enjoy Imogen Clark's books and "A Borrowed Path" is no exception. The characters are distinct and complex, yet endearing. The story line is interesting. I knew before the end how it would end, but waiting for the characters to catch up and realize was fun. The author makes you think you are there with the people. Highly recommend.

It is predictable yet keeps you reading

This book went on and on with dialogue without much substance. I hate to not finish a read, but this was painful at times. Could have been told in two hours.

Elongated

The 5-yr old is cute. Her mother (Lyra) is a selfish, shallow, spoiled, obnoxious, entitled, nosy, liar. Her mother (Eve) is ok—a little boring, and her mother (Agatha) is horrid. You can understand why Eve and Agatha are the way they are as the story progresses, but Lyra...I often wonder why authors write such awful main characters. I want to root for the characters, not wish they would fall down a well and exit the story.

Unlikable women. I hate read this one.

A blunt story where a “secret” is kept until the very end to somehow keep the story going while filling the in between with an annoying and entitled character. Also having a female narrator perform all voices including the deep voice male is not cutting it.
