About this listen

There are five stages of love that take continuous work:

  • Self - Work on loving yourself so you can love others better.
  • Time - Spend time together. Start dating your partner and never stop.
  • Trust - Trust each other. Build and maintain trust with your partner.
  • Team - Support each other. Support the team.
  • Dream - Dream together.

What we noticed among some relationships is that they become too comfortable once they have their dream partner. They then stop working to please that partner, and they stop working on their relationship. You cannot relax and act like you are single and living alone again. Partner inclusion remains a must throughout your relationship.

Choose a partner instead of a soulmate

I agree with Yuri and Bruce about the importance of someone being a partner rather than a soulmate because no matter how much the chemistry in the beginning of the relationship will be eventually it will die overtime when the two of you are not partners. When you are partners that means both of you do compliment each others strengths as well as compliment each others weaknesses. This is such an amazing book that everyone must have. This is highly recommended not only for couples but to those who are still searching for their future partners in life. YOU SHOULD LISTTEN TO THIS!!!

I love it!

First off, I love how bruce thanked yuri for everything. He has done a lot of things because of yuri. This just supports the quote "behind a succesful man, is a supportive wife". And I love how connected you are with your subscribers. And you dont even treat them like a subscriber, you treat them as a team, almost like a family! This book really help me realize a lot of things. I used to give my all not realizing that I've been the one making all the effort while my significant other was just recieving and not giving anything back
I learned that both of you should make an effort to make your relationship work. And that both of you should have one goal. I wont spoil the rest. Read the book yourself and find out! ^•^

Guide to Building and Keeping Lasting Love

I'm a brand new fan of the writing team Yuri Bruce! The pen name is actually a combination of a married couple’s two first names. I listened to a book bundle by them last week, not realizing it included this book. Oops! But I enjoyed it so much the first time that I listened to it again! Even though I’d just listened to it recently, I picked up different things this time around. I love the insights they have learned as they've forged a loving, long-term relationship. Clearly, neither of them is perfect, nor is their relationship so at all times. But it is clear they both put in the time and effort to make it work for them and their family. I love how they came up with the idea for what they call the five stages of love as they were just sitting in their car comparing notes about the topic. To my view, these really aren't stages of love so much as aspects of a loving relationship that constantly need to be renewed or attended to to keep love not just alive but thriving. The book also shares stories of other couples the writers know to help illustrate points. I listen to a lot of audiobooks, and this is one of the more unusual ones I've listened to. What makes it so? In places, it feels like we are eavesdropping on a dialogue between the two halves of the author team. I wonder how much of what is in the audiobook is actually in the ebook as so much of it just seems to be said off the cuff. (In fact, Bruce often says something like, “I’m going to go off script for a moment here…” If you're looking for solid relationship advice from people who've “been there, done that” and have found their way to happiness and contentment through constant work and attention to what matters, check out this book for some excellent insights.

Save your money

I know this is kind of hard to read, but this just wouldn’t fly for a typical relationship. I didn’t know it was based on a long distance relationship. They just aren’t people I would take relationship advice on.
