World War Diary

In 1997, on the 98th birthday of my Grandad George, he passed me his personal diary of his time in the army in the first world war. In the diary, George details his time in the battle of the Somme, and the adventures and trauma he endured. In the diary, George details fighting in battle in the tanks, saving others, and his amazing friendship with Richard and Simon which helped to boost his morale during the army. In the diary, George details his bravery and battle to return home to achieve his dream to become a doctor.
