The inspiration for this book was born years ago, when I encountered a man in his 70s. He opened my eyes to how he had been able to capture a seemingly hidden power to combat evils in the world and his body, such as illness and fear. I wondered how that could be possible. I thought hard and broke sweat over how the mind could help a person fight diseases and infections. He was gracious enough to oblige me his time and share some of his ‘secrets'. Some of these things you will be hearing are gleanings from my numerous conversations with him.

Tamara Thompson is a children’s author and poet residing in Simcoe, ON Canada, north of Toronto, ON. She was raised in the suburbs of Toronto, Canada. This writer’s friends meant a lot to her, you would always find her telling and sharing stories, a true writer - who always had something to say. Talking about the fun and light times they all shared and speaking of years that had gone past. Growing up in the 1980’s and 1990’s, were her fondest memories were made with her friends.
