A story of a daring escape from a prison planet into the unknown. This story is about a desperate quest undertaken by a group of strangers facing the unknown in total despair and fear. It is a challenge to seek sanctuary and peace while running away from everything any of them had ever known.

In the aftermath of the horrific trench warfare of the First World War, the poppy - sprouting across the killing fields of France and Belgium, then immortalized in John McCrae’s moving poem - became a worldwide icon. Yet the poppy has a longer history: as the telltale sign of human cultivation of the land, of the ravages of war, and of the desire to escape the earthly realm through Romantic opium dreams or the grim reality of morphine drips.

This book of poetry is from a fictional character call Heidi. She is one of three main protagonists from the Blue Ring Assassins book series. As part of her character development in her down time she would right poetry, some of which are included in the books. The three girls became very close, Heidi took great pleasure from the company of Hannah and Petra, listening to their stories of days gone by. These poem’s, follow Heidi’s life as she struggled through some difficult times during WWII. Each poem depicting a certain timeline starting with the onset of war, ending with her demise. ...

Extending back to the first demonstrations of 2011, No Turning Back dissects the tangle of ideologies and allegiances that make up the Syrian conflict. As protests ignited in Daraa, some citizens were brimming with a sense of possibility. A privileged young man named Suleiman posted videos of the protests online, full of hope for justice and democracy. A father of two named Mohammad, secretly radicalized and newly released from prison, saw a darker opportunity in the unrest.
