White America

If we are a people who value justice, freedom, liberty, and the United States Constitution, we must call the adherents of communism, an evil philosophy, by name and remove them from our power structure. If we fail, this great experiment in human freedom that is America will be lost.

David Henry White, a free Black teenage sailor from Lewes, Delaware, was kidnapped by Captain Raphael Semmes of the Confederate raider Alabama on October 9, 1862, from the Philadelphia-based packet ship Tonawanda.
