Sometimes, the ones you least suspect are the ones that should worry you the most. People aren’t always what they seem, as Red has experienced all too well. Joe and Meg Birch continue their perilous journey through a hostile and occupied city to seek shelter in a local university. As they settle into their new life among friends and fellow survivors within the university's hidden tunnel system, the US military continues its relentless seizure of seemingly innocent civilians. After a student is openly murdered by soldiers, the Birches and their close group of friends decide to take their chances on the outside. They make their way to a nearby survivalist camp, where Joe's brother has presumably hidden to ride out the disaster.

The Vegas Exodus is at a standstill. Besieged by the Xenoswarm in the town Pyrite, they must shelter in either Bunker 108 or Bunker 84 if they are to survive the winter. But in Bunker 84 lurks a darkness that could end the Exodus. And it may also be that the denizens of Bunker 84, known as "The Community", are not as isolated from the events of the Wasteland as it first appears. The Community's leader, Elias, has his own plans for the future of the Wasteland - and those plans will change everything.

Nox is a wanted man. While searching for a criminal, the fabled Coilhunter wanders into a tribal village massacre. He didn't do it, but that doesn't matter. Follow along with our heroes as they travel back to Solace where a great mystery will be finally understood and then on to the Waste, and see what miracles will manifest and what sacrifices will be laid on the altar of freedom in order to keep hope alive.
