Fleeting Chills is a series of 33 weird, creepy, short, and scary horror stories by authors Joseph C. Gioconda, Grace Elizabeth, Amy Yun Yu, Isabel Rincón, Petar Vrbich and others.

If you're looking for a taster of my work, this is who I am. These seven short stories, all previously published in magazines or anthologies, contain magic, monsters, ghosts, history, beer, Scotland, scifi, fantasy, horror, singing, more beer and fun. This is who I am.

When a petrol yacht catches fire in the South Atlantic, its lone survivor, Patterson, swims to safety. He is relieved when he washes up on a tropical island inhabited by four other ship-wrecked characters. But when he discovers one of the men was cast adrift by the Titanic, he is forced to question where he really is and if he will be able to escape.

This early work by Robert E. Howard was originally published in 1934. 'The Valley of the Worm' is a story in the James Allison series and tells the tale of a Texan who recalls his past lives as ancient heroes. Robert Ervin Howard was born in Peaster, Texas in 1906. During his youth, his family moved between a variety of Texan boomtowns, and Howard - a bookish and somewhat introverted child - was steeped in the violent myths and legends of the Old South.

Laid out upon these frail leaves is a banquet of delectable misfortunes and savory tragedies. Partake of these melancholy morsels of bile and brine, of wrath and regret. Sample vintages of fermented tears and distilled blood. Lick the sharp edges of cursed blades, and nibble frail hopes set on platters of tarnished silver. First appearing in 1882, this collection by Mrs. J.H. Riddell established her as a leading Victorian author of supernatural fiction. She achieved her effect by using commonplace settings into which the horrors crept.

When Jack Jones's ranch is overwhelmed by foul pests, he seeks out Coyote Cal and Big Yap for help. But our heroes run into their own trouble along the way, captured by a wicked fiend intent on taking over their 30-episode serial and making it his own. In the process, the author is also kidnapped, sending events spiraling out of control. As the plot unravels, unlikely allies must unite to save the day. Or something like that.

Most of civilization has been decimated and Cleve exists hand to mouth, trading with mutants at supply huts to feed himself. Cleve observes a calendar that few acknowledge. Soon, it will be his favorite day: December 25th. This day celebrates the birthday of our savior, Santa Christ. Cleve needs an Xmas miracle. And a gruesome one is heading his way!

Earwig takes a rare day off, which he spends drinking by himself in Au Metro, a seedy bar full of drunks, dancers and eccentrics. It is St Martin's day, and in the evening, as crowds parade through the street carrying lanterns through the snow, he is drawn reluctantly into a conversation with a sinister stranger called Tyre. As a result Earwig accidentally maims a waitress with a broken bottle. He understands that on some level Tyre meant this to happen. Shortly afterwards a black cat is delivered to the flat, unasked for.
